Owen J. Dalton
	Hurt, Pittsylvania Co. VA
Owen J. Dalton, age 63, died Monday, March 31, 2008. Born October 7, 1944 in 
Pittsylvania County, he was the son of the late Lathan Owen Dalton and Annie 
Worley Dalton. He was predeceased by a son, Mark A. Dalton, a sister, Nancy 
Bohon, four brothers, Gordon Dalton, Sam Henry Dalton, Curtis Dalton and 
Diamon Dalton. Mr. Dalton was a carpenter and of the Baptist faith. He loved 
his grandchildren and enjoyed hunting, fishing and yard sales. He is survived 
by his wife, Mary Layne Dalton of the residence; three sons, Leslie Dalton, 
Wayne Dalton and Richard Dalton all of Hurt; one daughter, Vickie Hall and 
husband, Sidney of Hurt; six brothers, Lathan Dalton of Indianapolis, IN, 
Charlie Dalton of Hurt, James Dalton of Gretna, George Dalton of Gretna, 
Willie Dalton of Hickory, NC and Bernard Dalton of Gretna; one sister, Carrie 
Lilly of Gretna; four grandchildren, Cody Dalton, Meaghan Dalton, Zachary 
Dalton and Logan Hall. Burial was in Green Lawn Cemetery. Published in The
