Kenneth Burton Dalton

Kenneth Burton (Toby) Dalton, 77, of Bedford, Va., passed away on Wednesday, October 7, 2009, at Bedford Memorial Hospital. He was born on Monday, November 16, 1931, in Pittsylvania County, a son of the late George Ellis Dalton Sr. and Elma Rowland Dalton. He was also preceded in death by a brother, George "Johnny" Dalton Jr.

He was a retired employee of Rubatex Corporation and was a member of Bedford VFW Post #2157 and Bedford Elks Lodge #2844. He was a harmonica player with the Peaks of Otter Band. Surviving is his wife, Gaynelle Manley Dalton; and two sisters, Louise D. Reynolds, of Altavista, and Madeline D. Bennett, of Hurt; numerous nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Michael Grishaw, of Bedford.  Interment was in Greenwood Cemetery.
