DIVISION OF THE ESTATES OF MARTHA (PATSY) & THOMAS D. HOWARD

(This document begins with an account of the estate of Martha (Patsy) Howard, dau. of James and Ann Depp HOWARD, with references to the estates of James HOWARD and Ann HOWARD, to brother Henry HOWARD and showing a balance of the estate of Martha, followed by a division of assets and slaves to Henry, John, William and Stephen HOWARD. This is followed by a statement and division of the slaves of Thos. D. HOWARD, son of James and Ann Depp HOWARD to William, John, Henry, and Stephen HOWARD.)

the following statement is at the end of said division(parts of which are illegible):

............................by Henry HOWARD executor of the Estate of Thos. D. HOWARD, John HOWARD, William HOWARD and Stephen HOWARD the four surviving brothers of Thomas D. HOWARD and Martha HOWARD dec'd. We have proceeded to settle .....the.....part of the estate of Martha HOWARD

dec'd as will fully appear by the foregoing statement....................................and we have also divided the ............between the four survivors as will appear the statement......we have also proceeded to value and divide the slaves belonging to the estates of Martha and Thomas D. HOWARD dec'd as will appear by the

foregoing statement..........all of which has been done in the presence of the four remaining legatees and by their request and is respectfully submitted to the county court of Chesterfield. Given under our hands this
