CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, VIRGINIA     Deed Book 18, page 52, 53


This Indenture made and entered into this twenty first day of January
eighteen hundred and nine; Between John Snellings Senr. & Sarah his
wife,John Snellings, Jr. all of Chesterfield.  Witnefseth that the said
John Snellings, Senr. & Sarah his wife hath for the consideration of the
sum of three hundred & twenty pounds to them in hand paid the receipt
whereof is hereby acknowledged to have been received, hath bargained,
sold, aliened and confirmed and by these present doth absolutely bargain
and sell in fee simple unto the aforesaid John Snellings, Jr and to his
heirs forever, one certain tract or parcel of land containing by an
estimation one hundred and fifty five acres be the same more or lefs,
lying and being in the county aforesaid and bounded as followeth, Vir.
By the lands of said John Snellings Senr, John Laborreaire, Joel
Cheatham, John Bowman's estate, and Josiah Cheatham's estate, with all
and every of its rights and appurtenances in any wise appertaining to
the same to him the said John Snellings Jr and his heirs to their only
use and emoluments forever-And the said John Snellings Senr and Sarah
his wife doth covenant for themselves their heirs [?] to and with the
said John Snellings,Jr to warrant the above premises against the claim
property and demand of all and every other person or persons whatsoever.
In testimony whereof the parties have hereto set their hands and seals

proven by the oaths of G. Snellings, Thos. Snellings and Jefse Snellings
subscribing witnefses and ordered to be recorded
