Know all Men by these presents that We Benjamin Cox and Wm Smith are held &
firmly bound unto Beverly Randolph esquire Governor of the Common Wealth of
Virginia in the sum of Fifty pounds Current Money, to Which payment will &

made to our said Governor and his heirs firmly by these presents sealed with
our seals and date this first day of September 1783
The Condition of the above obligation is such that , whereas there is a
Marriage suddenly intended to be Solemnized between the above bound Thomas
Cox and Rebaccah Johnston of the County aforesaid, if therefore there be no
Lawful Cause to obstruct the same, then this obligation to be void else to
remain of force and Virtue

firmly bound unto the Governor of the Common Wealth of Virginia in the Sum of

Said Governor and his Successors for the use of the Common Wealth. We bind
ourselves and our heirs firmly by these presents, Sealed with our Seal and
date this 4th day of November 1702
The Condition of the above obligation is Such that Whereas there is a

to be made We do bind ourselves Jointly & Severally our Joint & Several Heirs

day of April 1773
The Condition of the above obligation is such that Whereas there is a
Marriage Suddenly intended to be Solemnized Between the above bound Henry Cox
and Ann Madison (Spinster) of the said County Now if there be no lawful cause
