| Robert Dennis Lipford (left) was born in Charlotte Co, Va. on April 12, 1862, and raised mostly on the old Dickerson farm in the Bacon district He was the son of William A. Lipford and Mary Ann Dickerson , who both lived in Charlotte Co, Va. for many years. Robert married Nannie Frances Wilkerson on April 29, 1891 in Halifax Co, Va. Nannie (right, holding a grandchild) was born on Sept. 16, 1869 in Mecklenburg Co, Va., the daughter of Obediah F. Wilkerson and Parthins Lowery. Nannie died on Feb. 23, 1946 and Robert died on Nov. 11, 1946, in the Black Walnut district of Halifax Co, Va., where they owned a farm across the road from their church. Both are buried in the Glennwood Methodist Church Cemetery on Route 56 West, Halifax Co, Va. Horace Raymond Lipford, Jr. |
