This indenture made the fourth day of August in the year of our Lord one
thousand and eight hundred and six between Jeremiah Gibson of the County of
Gilford State of North Carolina of the one part and William Bradberry of the
County of Charlotte and State of Virginia of the other part witnesseth that the
said Jeremiah Gibson for & inconsideration of the sum of one hundred and fifteen
pounds curried money of Virginia to him in hand paid by the said William
Bradberry the receipt where of is hereby acknowledged hath given granted
bargained and sold and by the presents doth give grant bargain and sell unto the
said William Bradberry one certain tract or parcel of land situate lying and
being in the said County of Charlotte containing one hundred and sixty-six and a
half acres be the same more or less lying on the Horsepen Creek in the said
County and bounded as follows by the lands of Abner Jackson, Gustaves Hendrick &
John Osbourne - To have and to hold the said land and premises to him the said
William Bradberry his heirs and assigns forever - and the said Jeremiah Gibson
for himself his heirs executors and administrators doth covenant promise and
agree to and with the said William Bradberry his heirs and assigns that the said
tract of land together with all its rights members and appurtenances to him the
said William Bradberry his heirs and assigns shall and will warrant and defend
against the claim of claims of any person or persons whatsoever claiming by from
or under him the said Jeremiah Gibson his heirs or assigns - In testimony
whereof the said Jeremiah Gibson hath hereunto set his hand and affixes his seal

This indenture made this seventeenth day of January one thousand eight hundred & forty
between Fanny Hailey of the one part & William A. Bradberry of the other part
witnesseth that the said Fanny Hailey for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred
& thirty dollars, current money of Virginia to her in hand paid before the sealing &
delivery of these presents the receipt whereof she hereby acknowledges and therefore do
acquit & discharge the said William A. Bradberry or assigns hath granted, bargained, &
sold & by these presents do grant, bargain sell & confirm unto said William A. Bradberry
his heirs & assigns forever one certain piece, parcel, or tract of land, lying and being in
the County of Charlotte containing eighty six acres be the same more or less & bounded
by and between the lines of Thomas Lee & Boswell G. Tatham - To have and to hold the
aforesaid land together with all the houses and maintenances now being thareon to the
said William A. Bradberry his heirs & assigns forever to him & there only proper use &
behoof free & clear from all or any title claims, demand or demands of the said Fanny
Hailey her heirs, executors, admiss or assigns and of all & every other person or persons
whatsoever - In witness whereof the said Fanny Hailey hath set her hand & seal the day

to be the act & deed of the said Fanny Hailey, and ordered to be recorded -

This indenture made this 25th day of September in the year of our Lord one thousand and
eight hundred and fifty one Between William G. Lock Susan H. Lock his wife of the
county of Mason and state of Virginia of the one part and William A Bradberry of the
county of Charlotte and state afforesaid of the other part witnesseth That the said
William G. Lock and Susan his wife in consideration of the sum of twenty five dollars of
Lawful money of Virginia to them in hand paid by the said William A. Bradberry at or
before the ensealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby
acknowledge have bargained and sold and by these presents do and each of them doth
bargain and sell unto the said William A. Bradberry his heirs and assigns all ther Right
and title in a certain tract or parcel of land lying and being in the county of Charlotte and
state of Virginia on the head watters of Malone Creek and bounded as follows on the East
by William Watson, on the West by Eldridge Carter containing seventy five acres be the
same more or less together with all estate right title interest and property claim and
demand whatever of them the said William G. Lock and Susan his wife, in law or equity
or other wise how ever of in to or out of the same to have and to hold the said lot peace
or parsel of land and every part and parcel thereof with their appurtenance unto the said
William A. Bradberry his heirs and assigns forever - and unto the only proper use and
behoof of him the said William A. Bradberry his heirs and assigns forever and the said
William G. Lock for himself his heirs executors administration and for and behalf of the
said Susan his wife and her heirs doth covenant promise grant and agree to and with the
said William A. Bradberry his heirs and assigns by the presents in manner and form
following towit , that he the said William G. Lock and his heirs, the said lot peace or
parcel of land and premeces hereby granted or intended so to be with the appurtenances
unto he said William A. Bradberry fis heirs and assigns against him the said William G.
Lock and his heirs and against the heirs of the said Susan his wife and against all and
every person or persons whatever will warrant and forever defend By these presents in
witness whereof the said William G. Lock and Susan his wife have here unto set there
hands and seals the day and year first above written

to her the said Susan H. Lock acknowledged the said writing to be her act and declared
