Copal Family Photographs

Gg-grandfather, Abraham Copal, born in Germany, Feb. 22, 1822 married his first wife, Prudence Newcomb in Charlotte Co., VA. They had "5" children during their marriage in 1844. Sarah Ann Clementine, Margaret, Fannie, David F. & Kate. Prudence died in 1884 in Charlotte Co., Va.

Abraham Copal married second in 1889, Union Co., KY, to Mary E. Aronburgh. They had "2" daughters, Polly & Nannie.

This photo is believed to be of his second wife, Mary E. Aronburgh of KY, & their daughter, Polly.

Of Charlotte Co., Va. Sarah's
granddaughter, Jean Lindsey-Duffey, identified Sarah in the photo. Joseph Samuel Lindsey married Sarah Clementine Copal on Aug. 2, 1860. Joseph died from a fall off a roof on Aug. 4, 1912. They were married for "52" years. Sarah died on March 9, 1936. BOTH are buried at Ash Camp Baptist Church Cemetery in Keysville, VA.
