In the name of God amen, I, Priscilla Williams of the county of Brunswick and State of Virginia being sick and week in body but of sound mind and disposing memory do make and ordain this as my last will and testament in manner and form following: viz

Item 1. I give and bequeath unto my three sons William, Henry and Miles Williams the sum of one dollar each as their full proportion of my estate.

Item 2. I give and bequeath unto the heirs of my daughter Mary Clayton the sum of one dollar to be equally divided between them as their mother's proportion of my estate.

Item 3. I give and bequeath unto my four children, Joseph Williams, John R. Williams, Elizabeth Scoggins, and Martha Ragsdale or their heirs the balance of my estate both real and personal of every kind and description whatever to be equally divided between them.

Lastly, I hereby constitute and appoint Joseph Williams, John R. Williams and Robert Scoggins executors of this my last will and testament hereby revoking all wills made heretofore maid by me. In testamony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this 20th day of July eighteen hundred and thrity eight "Turn Over."

Brunswick County Court Sept Term 1838
This last well and testament of Priscilla Williams, dec'd was proved by the Oath of james R. Adams a witness thereto, and having been before proved by the Oath of Buckner Abernathy also a witness thereto and is Ordered to be Recorded. And on the motion of John R. Williams one of the executors ____ named who made oath thereto, and tegether with James Oslin, Robert Scoggins and Ira Connelly his securities entered unto and acknowledged a bond in the penalty of fifteen hundred dollars condition as the law directs certificate is granted him for obtaining a probate of the said Will in due form. And Robert Scoggins and Joseph Williams the other executors named in the said will appeared in court and refused to take upon themselves the brothers of the exection thereof.
