DEED - ANDERSON, Charles - This Indenture made this twenty fourth day of November in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred & Eighty Eight between Charles Anderson of the County of Amelia of the One part and William Grigg Junr. of the other part Witnesseth that the said Charles Anderson for and in consideration of One hose (horse?) hath Granted bargained & Sold & by these presents doth bargain & sell unto the said William Grigg Jr. One tract or Parcel of Land Containing by estimation Seventy two acres be the Same more or less lying in the County of Amelia and bounded as followeth (Viz) Beginning at Peter Stanbacks line thence along his line to Jacksons road thence to John Royalls Corner from thence to the said Stanbacks line to the beginning with all the (-?-) and Orchards thereunto belonging to have and to hold the said tract or parcel of Land with all and Singular the Appurtenances unto the said William Grigg Junr. his Heirs & Assigns In the only ----- use and (-?-) of him the said William Grigg his Heirs & Assigns forever & the said Charles Anderson for himself and his Heirs the said tract of Land with the appurtenances unto him the said William Grigg against him the said Charles Anderson and all and every person or persons Claiming under him shall & will warrant and defend by these presents In Witness whereof I have set my hand and Seal this day and year above written. Also served in the 20th VA Inf. and in the 46th VA Inf.
