Looking for any information of parents of Isaac Miller born about 1845. Isaac is on the 1860 census for Augusta county, age 15, mother Martha Miller age 51, brothers Noah age 27 and Joseph age 17. Think Noah inherited the farm and I know Isaac went to Ohio because he was my great grandfather. Trying to find his father and any further information on his mother. My grandfather, Charles Archie Miller visited the family farm in Augusta County befoe he died but no one in the family was into genealogy research at the time and as is typical,no one took any notes. Incidently, Isaac was a handsome fellow because I have a picture of him and my grandfather looked just like him!!!

Need information on parents and siblings of Archibald TOOLE. Have bond for Archibald TOOLE and Barbara FUDGE 10 Nov 1791 Augusta Co.,VA. Barbara FUDGE TOOLE moved from Augusta Co. to Washington Co. ca 1804. Archibald TOOLE was listed by the D.A.R. recorders as SOOLE and I am told Chalkey's Chronicles of the Scotch Irish Settlers in VA. copied this error. I haven't been able to locate a copy to check. Any help or information is appreciated because this information has eluded me for over 25 years.

The Chronicles of the Scotch-Irish Settlements in Virginia by Chalkley identify several Carsons in Augusta County. The 1787 Reconstructed Census of Virginia by Yantis identified two Carson families: James Carson and Thomas Carsen. I found no marriages in Wulfeck's Virginia Marriages. The number of Carsons seemed to have dimished in Augusta around 1800. Did they migrate to the Carolinas and to Tennessee and Kentucky?

Searching for information on David Davis in Augusta Co., VA. He was granted land in 1742. Where did he live before moving to Augusta Co., VA? In the Chronicles of the Scotch-Irish Settlement in Virginia, Vol. 1, Feb. 12, 1745, "David Davis to show cause against paying William Morrison freedom dues". Also "William Morrison to have his freedom dues paid out of the attached estate of David Davis". Does anyone know why David Davis would be paying freedom dues to William Morrison??? William was the son of Thomas Morrison, d. 1748, Lancaster Co., PA. I would greatly appreciate any information.

Searching for ancestors or Ephriam Y. Strasburg,(listed in 1850 census as Strawsbury ?) born circ. 1813 or 1823. Married to Elizabeth Vosserman (listed as Bosserman in census). Enlisted at Fishersville 4- 19-61. Children were George, James, and Virginia. I don't understand the discrepancy in spelling of names, perhaps misunderstanding of census taker. Father of Ephriam was Elias b.1806, mother was Elizabeth b.1812. Thanks, Karen. bertkaren@prodigy.net

Seeking information on William Farrell, orphan of John Farrell. In the Augusta County Order Book #VI, March 21, 1759, it is ordered that William Farrell be bound out along with Barbara Farrell. I found this information in the book "Chronicles of the Scotch-Irish Settlement in Virginia". I am a descendant of a William Ferrell, b. abt. 1755, location unknown. William first appears in 1779 on a Dobbs Co, NC, tax list and later in Wayne Co, NC which was formed from Dobbs. He was apparently very close to the Watson family there, as he was deeded land from Isom Watson and witnessed several deeds among other Watson family members. He married Delila and their children were: John, Henry, Noel, Polly, Sarah, Elizabeth, and Rebecca. If anyone has information about John or William, please contact me. Thank you.
