I am looking for John MILLER, born abt 1802 and married Mary J. WEBB, born abt 1800. They were married July 19, 1827 by Rev. James Morrison, Minister for the Presbyterian Church. Before they left VA they had 3 children, Samuel, Andrew and William. They had 7 more children that were born in either IN or OH. Their names were: Levina, John Jr., Alexander and James (twins), Isaac, Isabella and Wilson. They settled in Clark Co. MO before 1850. If anyone has any information on the minister, James Morrison, I would appreciate that too.

Jacob KOCK aka COOK was said to be from Germany and came prior to the Revolution. His son Adam was born in Augusta Co., Va. on June 23, 1791. Adam had a brother Jacob and sister Elizabeth. Allied families were Roller aka Rowler, Lortz aka Lotts. The Kocks (Cooks) migrated to Sullivan Co., Tenn. where Adam grew up, then Adam and Jacob Jr. migrated to Bartholomew Co., Indiana. Does anyone have any info on the German father Jacob Kock of Augusta Co., Va.?

I am trying to find out if his son Archibald Scott Jr. could be the same Archibald who brought his family to Franklin County, Georgia in about 1807 and died there in 1814. My grandmother's name is Mary Alice BLAIR. She is the daughter of William Marshall BLAIR (b.? d.May 1946) and Selina Blanche Blair BOYER. My grandmother moved into her grandfather's homestead when she was little. She lived there with her grandfather who was a doctor and her sister(?)Faye. The homestead was in Staunton, Va. have moved from VA to Mercer Co., KY (ca. 1783), to Christian Co., KY
(ca. 1800), to Randolph Co., MO (bef. 1820). James died 6 Oct 1822 in
Randolph Co., MO, and Hannah died there 11 Jun 1830. Most want to prove

Researching HARRELL in all forms: Of particular interest are: Hugh HERRALL who died in Frederick County, Va. 1743 leaving two orphans, Hugh and Jane HERRALL. William Davis was given custody of the orphans and may have taken them to Augusta County, VA. after Fairfax denied title to some lands of Hite in Frederick County, Va. Also interested in the Hugh HARRELL etc. who is listed on the 1782 (reconstructed?) census of VA. I am descended from one Hugh HERRALL who settled in Burke County, N.C. before 1800. Researching the TURK family. My ancestor was Anne TURK who married Fletcher Taylor JUDGE somewhere in Tennessee, in the early l830's. Believe they were married in Blount County,Tennessee. Her father, James TURK owned a tannery in Maryville,Tennessee. He died after the family came to Jackson County, Alabama. Anne's mother, Polly is buried in Maryville, Tennessee, at New Providence Presbyterian Church. Seeking dates when DUFF's arrived in Augusta Co. VA. They fled Scotland after being identified as 'Rebels" (Jacobites) in 1745, went to N. Ireland, and sometime between 1747 and 1755 they immigrated to the American Colonies. We believe they first stopped in PA, then moved into Augusta Co. Later they moved to Guilford Co. NC, c.1760s, and back to settled in Washington Co. VA in c.1780. Samuel DUFF and wife Margaret Montgomery DUFF, sons; William, John, Robert & Samuel II, Jacob and Abraham; Eleanor, Elizabeth. I am looking for information about the parents, siblings, places, or anything else about Samuel Moore, b. 14 Jul 1761 at Staunton, Augusta Co., VA, and his wife, Mary Archer, who he is said to have married in Greenbrier Co., 25 Sep 1768. Samuel enlisted in the Va militia in Feb 1781 while living in Greenbrier Co., and returned there when his tour ended in Oct, 1781. After the Revolutionary War, they moved to KY where they had, at least, three sons, Samuel Jr., Jesse J., and James T. born from 1790 to 1801, respectively. From Ky, they moved on to Putnam Co., IN where Samuel Sr. applied for, and received a military pension in 1832. He died in 1838 in Putnam Co. where he had patented about 165 acres of farmland in Warren Twp. Son, Jesse, was named administrator of his estate. Sons, Sam Jr. and James T. had moved to Boone Co., IN, about 1836 to farm previously untapped land in Marion Twp. They lived in Boone Co. for over 30 years. James, his wife, Margaret, and Sam Jr.'s wife Mary (Sears) died in the areas and were buried in the cemetery at Kirklin, IN. Sam Jr., his son, John A. and grandsons, Samuel P. and James C., and their families moved to farm new land in southern IA prior to 1870. The last word we have about Sam Jr. is his listing in the 1870 census for Decatur Co., IA. Sons Sam P. and James C. moved on to patent new land in Kearney Co., NE, in the late 1870's.

I am looking for info on a Michael KERN or KERNS who lived in Augusta County in the early to mid 1700's he was married to a Cathrine? Need to know who she was and was his father Nicholas KERN?. I also have a George KERN also and need to know his wife's name. Who were the children. I have a lot Kerns but don't know who the father's are. These two names come up alot as being those fathers and I need to know their mothers maiden name. Thank you.
