I am trying to discover his parents, either from the death record, or from an obituary. Do you know whether there are extant newspaper records for this time period? He had been a teached in Rockbridge & Augusta counties. The reference to his death record is R79-10, I believe that this refers to the year and line on page of the death register. Any help would be appreciated.
