Who was Nancy ROBINSON, who marr. Jacob HANGER c. 1800? Jacob was a son of Peter HANGER and Hannah GABBERT, b. 1773, d. Knox Co., Ohio 1834. Jacob left Augusta Co., c. 1808, and remarried in Ohio in 1813.

PATTERSON-CALBREATH James F. PATTERSON married Elizabeth M. CALBREATH in Augusta Co. on 27 December 1854. This couple appears on the 1860 Federal census, 1st Dist., pg. 87, with two daughters Sarah Ann, age 2, and Rebecca Susan, age 2 mo., and Elizabeth's sister, Anna CALBREATH, age 40. Looking for any information on ARMSTRONG, Robert or James. Robert ARMSTRONG lived for some time in Augusta Co. where he was a surveyor and lawyer. Many early wills were executed by Robert. During the Revolutionary War he was in the companies under Capt. Geo. Moffett in 1777, Capt. James Trimble from 1778 to 1780 and later Capt. James Bell. Removed to Greenbrier Co, VA in 1783. Searching for ancestors of George DOHERTY, b18 Jan 1749, Augusta Co., VA, d 27 May 1833 Jefferson Co. TN. Md Priscilla GOFORTH, b ca 1757 maybe Augusta Co., d ca 21 May 1822 Jefferson Co. TN. George was a Capt in the Rev. War and a Brig Gen in the War of 1812. He spent most of his life in what became Jefferson Co. and was active in local civil affairs. Looking for parents of Andrew WALLACE. He married Margaret CALBREATH 3 march 1796 in Augusta County, VA. They were in Augusta until 1801 as they appeared there for a property settlement. The next appearance is in Smith County, Tennessee where a Son, Thomas M. WALLACE is born in 1805. Margaret CALBREATH WALLACE is listed in the census of 1840 & 1850 but not Andrew and is presumed to be deceased before then. Researching the following families: Samson EAGON, b. MD 1769, m. Rebecca YOST (d/o Henry YOST) 1796, Augusta Co; Rebecca EAGON (d/o Samson & Rebecca Yost EAGON) b. 1802, Augusta Co, m. Samuel B LOURY, 1820 Staunton, VA-- they removed to Covington, VA by 1822. I am also researching a brother of Rebecca EAGON: Dr John EAGON, (s/o Samson & Rebecca Yost EAGON), b. ca 1798, Augusta Co (Staunton). He married Mildred YANCEY of Albemarle Co, and became mayor of Staunton. They later removed to Covington, VA (1850). I have substantial information on both the EAGON & LOURY families, and trying to close some gaps. The LOURY line originated in tidewater VA, and EAGON in MD. I have substantial information, and am happy to share information.

LEDFORD, McCURRY. William L.B.LEDFORD came to the USA with 2 brothers, Henry and John LEDFORD. Henry was killed by Indians in Virginia. William married Elizabeth MCCURRY in Augusta Co., VA in 1745/1746. William and John moved to what is now Randolph Co.,NC with their familys. William is buried at Abbott Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Davidson,NC. I have some information on their 12 children.
