| His name was James Stephen Ellixson, aka John L. Ellison. All that information was given to vital records along with the dates that were given to me by a researcher I met on the internet. She sent me his photo and on the back were dates of his birth and death...and they were accurate. |
| James, his wife Sarah Elizabeth O'Briant Ellixson and their children were living in Halifax Co., VA (Black Walnut District). The last time I could locate them as a family was in the 1900 census and in 1901 on their son's marriage certificate stated his mother was deceased......I really do think that she died in VA....but vital records said she did not die in VA. |
| Although it was a huge success story locating information on James Stephen Ellixson but locating his wife and five of their children are still a mystery. |
