RACHETER, Thomas Eugene – born 02/08/1940, Nevada; died 12/14/2007, aged 67

Thomas E. "Rocky" Racheter, Sr., 67 , Upper Sandusky, and formerly of Carey, died at 12:38 a.m. Friday, Dec. 14, 2007, in Wyandot Memorial Hospital, Upper Sandusky. He was born to John E. and Mary E. (Braynon) Racheter. He is survived by his wife, Ruth A. Racheter, Upper Sandusky; children, Thomas E. Racheter Jr. and Robert E. Racheter, both of Carey; Christina M. Parks, Fostoria; and brother, Richard "Dick" Racheter of Michigan. Visitation is 2-8 p.m., Sunday and 10 -11 a.m. Monday at the Stombaugh-Batton Funeral Home, Carey. Funeral services are at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home with the Rev Matt Doerle officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant View Cemetery, Sycamore, where military graveside rites will be conducted by local veteran organizations. Memorial contributions may be made to the Carey Pee Wee Football program or Hospice of Wyandot County c/o Stombaugh-Batton Funeral Home, 225 W. Findlay St., Carey, OH 43316. REED, Frank Edward "Ed" – born 09/19/1941, Gardnerville, NV; died 01/02/2002, aged 87

An inurnment service for Frank Edward "Ed" Reed, 87 , a Minden resident, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Garden Cemetery in Gardnerville. Mr. Reed died Jan. 2, 2002, at Carson-Tahoe Hospital. He was born March 13, 1914, in Mountain View, Calif., to Frank and Mamie Miner Reed. He had lived in the Northern Nevada area for 62 years, coming from California. He married Paula Springmeyer on Sept. 19, 1941, in Gardnerville. Mr. Reed worked for the Minden Milling Co. for 25 years and was the owner/operator of Reed's Arco Station in Minden from 1960-81. He was past president of the Kiwanis Club in Minden and a member of F&AM Lodge 12 in Genoa. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II in the European Theatre with the 203rd Hospital Unit. He was preceded in death by his brother Warren in 1998. Among his survivors are his wife of Minden; son Brett Sr. of Minden; daughter Karen McGee of Gardnerville and grandsons Brett Jr. of Minden and Erik and Seth Lee of Reno. Cremation will be at FitzHenry's Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Douglas County Animal Shelter, P.O. Box 218, Minden 89423.

RODRIGUEZ: On Ogden Street, in this city, Tuesday, October 5, 1920, to Mr. and Mrs. M. J. RODRIGUEZ, a girl. The birth was premature and the child survived only 24 hours. Burial was Thursday in Woodlawn Cemetery.


RODRIGUEZ, Maria Jesus – born 10/02/1924, Wells, NV; died 12/05/1999, aged 75

Maria Jesus Rodriguez, 75 , of San Diego died yesterday. Mrs. Rodriguez, born in Wells, Nev., was a homemaker. Survivors include her husband, Santiago Rodriguez; daughters, Virginia, Maria Guadalupe, and Gabriela Rodriguez, all of San Diego, and Josefina Rodriguez of Oceanside; and sons, Rafael, Raul, Antonio, Victor, Ascencion, Santiago Jr., and Jesus Rodriguez, all of San Diego, and Luis and Ruben Rodriguez, both of Mexico, and Juan Rodriguez of Encinitas; 45 grandchildren; and 39 great-grandchildren. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. today, tomorrow and Wednesday, Humphrey Mortuary, 753 Broadway, Chula Vista. Rosary: 7 p.m. Wednesday, at the mortuary. Mass: 9 a.m. Thursday, Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 1770 Kearney Ave., San Diego.

He was born Oct. 16, 1957 in California and was employed as a postal worker.

His father Donald RUPNIK of Pahrump; brother Curtis RUPNIK of Montana and sister Mendy RUPNIK of Montana survive him.
