Funeral of John OLDS - The funeral of John OLDS took place from the Methodist Church yesterday Rev. WILSON officiating. There was a large attendance at the services which were very impressive. The following were the pall bearers: A. M. MCCABE, George MEYERS, Chas TAGGLE, James LOGAN, L. P. DORITY and Dan KITZMEYER.

Stanley Frank OLSOWSKI, age 82, died Friday, October 22, 2004, in Mesquite.

He was born February 22, 1922, to Frank F. and Rosie Mae SELIQUE OLSOWSKI near Bluefield, West Virginia.

He enlisted in the Army at the offset of WWII, serving in the European Campaign as Medical Tech, carrying in the bodies of the injured and dead. Upon his return to the States, he met and married Jessie GLEH MCKEAN from Logan, Iowa. The couple moved to several states febore finally settling in the countryside of Missouri Valley, Iowa. After 18 years of marriage and five children, the marriage ended in divorce and he moved to Arizona and eventually to Nevada.

Survivors include his children: Gloria RUGGLES of Missouri, Richard of Iowa, Linda BALLARD-JENSEN of Arkansas, John of Kansas and gary of Iowa; seveeral grandchildren and a few great grandchildren.

Interment will be in Southern Nevada Veteran's emorial Cemetery in Boulder City.

"deceased leaves a wife and four children, the oldest a boy of 13 years, and the youngest a boy between 4 and 5 years old; the oldest girl is about 10, and the youngest 7 years of age; Mrs. O'NEIL is willing the girls should be sent to the school of the Sisters of Charity, but the boys she is anxious to keep with her. They own the house they live in, but have no other property or means of support; they are indebted to the St. Louis meat market, STERN & Son, KENNEDY & MALLON, HAMPTON and M. FRANKENHEIMER. Mrs. O'NEIL says that her husband had in his vest pocket at the time of his death seven share of Crown Point stock; she does not know who he bought it off, but thinks he did not buy it from a broker."

Jamie Sue OZAKI, age 40, died Sunday, April 7, 2002 at her home in Las Vegas.

She was born February 22, 1962 in Trinidad, Colorado, to Leland Odell (Jim) and Barbara Jo BUBNIC WHITMORE.

Jamie grew up in Overton, graduating from Moapa Valley High School. She lived in Overton and Las Vegas throughout her adult life. She was active in the LDS Church, serving in the primary and her children's schools in the PTA. She enjoyed decorating, poetry and people. She was always outgoing, social and fun to be around.

Survivors include two sons and two daughters, Chris FULLERTON of Las Vegas, Tenaya FRANCOM of Las Vegas, Brian FULLERTON of Overton; parents, Jim and Barbara WHITMORE of Moapa; two brothers and two sisters, Leland (Laura) WHITMORE of Overton, Tammy WHITMORE of Las Vegas, Wendy ROBINSON of Las Vegas and Joe (Stacey) WHITMORE of Moapa, and one grandson.

Funeral services were held Thursday, April 11, 2002 at the Logandale LDS Stake Ceneter. Arrangements under the direction of Metcalf Mortuary.
