Frank Shannon NASER, 79, died May 29 in Las Vegas. Visitation will be held at Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main, Las Vegas, from 2-7 p.m. Sunday, with services to follow. Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at Palm Memorial Park.

He was born Dec. 27, 1924 in Washington, PA. He was a 41-year resident of Las Vegas and a former resident of Amargosa Valley for 10 years. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII and then worked as an electrician until his retirement.He was a member of the Four Degree Knights of Columbus, the VFW, the American Legion, the IBEW Electrical Workers Union and the Southern Nevada Blue Grass Association.

His daughters Mary Lee COOPER of Las Vegas and Becky THOMAS of Granite Falls, WA; son Leo NASER of Las Vegas; sisters Charlotte GREEN of Andover, OH and Donna PUFF of Enderlin, ND; brothers Roy NASER and Cletus NASER, both of Washington, PA; 10 grandchildren; and five great grandchildren, survive him. Palm Mortuary - Downtown handled the arrangements.

Nancy Loa PORTER NEEDHAM, former resident of Overton, passed away April 30, 2002 in Grand Junction, Colo., of complications from Parkinson's Disease.

She was the daughter of Sarel O. and Louisa PICKETT PORTER and was 63 years old.

Survivors include her husband, John NEEDHAM; two daughters, Debbra ALTMAN and Marie NEEDHAM, one brother Roger S. PORTER of Shubbuck, Idaho; one sister, Susan EISENBERG of Leland, North Carolina, and one grandson.

Graveside services were held May 10, 2002 in Grand Junction. Donations may be made in her honor to the Parkinson Assoc. of the Rockies, 1420 Ogden Street, Denver, Co. 80218

Reva MCKINNEY NELSON, age 92, died Tuesday, August 17, 2004, in Las Vegas.

She was born August 3, 1912 in Payson, Utah, to Hugh and Edna PRICE MCKINNEY. She married Charles-Andrew NELSON in Spanish Fork, Utah in 1931. They were later divorced.

NELSON grew up in Goshen. She reared her family in Spanish Fork. She lived the last two years in Nevada near her son in Overton. She was always active in the LDS Church. She was a talented musician and piano player and she loved to travel.

Survivors include three sons: Larry (Drema) of Portland, Ore., Rodney (Kathy) of Overton, and Dennis (Belinda) of Riverbank, Calif.; a daughter, Karen (Gerald) HAZEL of St. George, Utah; two sisters, Hazel GAINER of california and Betty FRENCH of Park City, Utah; 27 grandchildren and 51 great grandchildren.

Funeral services were Saturday August 21 at the Spanish Fork 1st Ward LDS Chapel. Interment was in the Spanish Fork Cemetery under the direction of the Moapa Valley Mortuary.


NIELSEN, Matthew K. – born c. 1984, Las Vegas, NV; died 01/29/1999, aged 15

Matthew K. Nielsen Jr., 15 , of Hatfield, formerly of Las Vegas, Nev., died Friday, Jan. 29, in the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, where he received a heart transplant earlier in the week. He was a tenth grade student at North Penn High School, Lansdale. Born in Las Vegas, he was a son of Kelly L. (Bushey) Nielsen, with whom he resided, and Matthew K. Sr. and a step-mother, Susan (Merrigan) Nielsen of Schnecksville. He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Telford. He was a former coach and pitcher for Hatfield Community Little League and Connie Mack baseball teams. Survivors: Parents; brothers, Michael R. and Mark A., both at home; sister, Brittany of Schnecksville; maternal grandmother, Patricia A. (Baldwin) Fillmore of Las Vegas; paternal grandmother, Pearl (Kimberlin) Nielsen, wife of Glenn Tenley of Hilltown, and stepsisters, Kristina Eady and Courtney Eady, both of Schnecksville. Memorial services: 7 p.m. Wednesday in the church. Call after services Wednesday in church. Arrangements, David R. Sadler Funeral Home, Telford. NOONAN, Mary.  Daily Territorial Enterprise, January 14, 1897.  Transcribed by Doreen Robinson.

In this city, January 13, Mrs. Mary NOONAN, a native of Canada, aged 67 years. The funeral will take place from her late residence No. 145 South C Street, Friday at 7:45 a.m.; then to St. Mary's Church where a high mass will be celebrated for the repose of her soul at 8 o'clock sharp. Friends and acquaintances are respectfully invited to attend. Immediately after mass, the remains will be taken to Carson City where the interment will take place.

Nastazia Kimberly NOVACK, age 47, died Thursday, September 9, 2004 at her home in Overton.

She was born August 24, 1957, in San Bernardino, Calif. to Julius Joseph and Wanda Lee LENTOVICH NOVACK. She grew up in San Bernardino and she moved to Las Vegas nearly 20 years ago, then to Overton in 2001. She always loved riding and caring for horses.

Survivors include two sons, Anthony DAUGHTERY of Provo, Utah, and Brandon of Overton; a daughter Tiffany L. NOVACK of Chicago, Ill.; four grandchildren and one sister, Adrienne BECKWITH of Las Vegas.

Memorial services were held September 20 at the Moapa Valley Mortuary.

Larry D. NUTTALL, age 65, died Tuesday, July 29, 2004 in Las Vegas.

He was born May 10, 1939, in Spanish Fork, Utah to Thomas and Madge LUCAS NUTTAL. He married Brenda DOMICKO. They had two children and later divorced. On March 11, 1966 he married Nancy Jane LEAVITT in Springville, Utah.

NUTTALL grew up in Utah County. He entered the U.S. Navy as a young man. After his honorable discharge, he moved back to Provo and began his family. In 1972, he moved to Moapa Valley, working for Nevada Power. He enjoyed collecting, making jewelry and tinkering. He had a great love for people and a strong personality, but was kind, generous and likable.

Survivors include his wife, Nancy, of Overton; two sons Michael Jay SHELLEY of Hurricane, Utah; Jason (Jennifer) NUTTALL of castledale, Utah; one daughter, Christine Dee (Kevin) STAHELI of Enterprise, Utah; 17 grandchildren' five brothers, Gene (Charlene) of St. George, Utah; Dave (Sherry) of Lehi, Utah; Thomas (Sharon) Riverton, Utah; Floyd of Pleasant Grove and Ron (Leslie) of Provo, Utah; three sisters, Peggy Lynn (Jim) HOPKINSON of Laie, Hawaii; Janene (Chad) CURTIS of Springville, Utah and Marcie NUTTALL of Provo, Utah and Marcie NUTTALL of Palm Springs, Calif. He was preceded in death by his father, two sons, one grandchild and one sister.

Funeral Services were Saturday, July 31 at the Overton LDS Chapel. Internment was in the Logandale Cemetery under the direction of Moapa Valley Mortuary.
