DAVEY, Marie Louise (Quackenbush) – born 05/09/1928, Reno, NV; died 03/30/2003, aged 74

Marie Louise Quackenbush Davey, 74 , of Salida died Sunday at Hanna's Care Home. Mrs. Davey was a native of Reno. She lived in Salida five years. She was a homemaker. She is survived by her husband, Allan L. Davey of Modesto; children, Allan C. Davey of Cypress and Cheryl Johnson of Modesto; and four grandchildren. Private services. The Neptune Society of Central California, Fresno, in charge of arrangements.

DAVIES, Janet – born 02/20/1928, Reno, NV; died 01/01/2004

Janet Davies, 75, a travel agent, of Las Vegas, died Jan. 1, 2004. She is survived by her sons, John of Las Vegas and Jeff of Folsum, Calif. Visitation from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 10. Service at 1 p.m., both at Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Burial immediately following at Palm Valley View Cemetery. Donations can be made to the Red Cross.

A private celebration of life will be held for family and friends of Gaila Anne DAVIS, 48, who passed away July 5 in Pahrump.

She was born Sept. 2, 1955 in San Fernando, Calif., and moved to Pahrump from Washington State over four years ago. She was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and a homemaker.

Her significant other, Ron COLEMAN of Pahrump; daughters Steffanie (Art) COLBIG of Tucson, Ariz., and Amanda (Waylon) JONES of Denton, Texas; grandchildren Cheyanne and Patrick JONES of Denton; parents Esther and Charles SCHMIDT of Burbank, Calif., survive her. Her husband Ronald DAVIS preceded her in death in November 1999.

Michael Sandy DAVIS, infant son of Mr. and Mrs. Sanford A. DAVIS died at a local hospital yesterday. Michael was born at Lakeview, Oregon on February 12, 1954. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his grandmothers, Mrs. Edna DAVIS of East Liverpool, Ohio and Mrs. Georgia TAYLOR of Nilscott, Oregon. Funeral arrangements which are incomplete, will be announced by Walton Funeral Home.

Funeral services for Michael Sandy DAVIS will be held at the Ousley-Osterman Mortuary, Lakeview Cemetery. Arrangements are in charge of Walton Funeral Home.

Michael, who was the son of Mrs. Sanford A. DAVIS of Lakeview, died at a local hospital on Saturday. He was 9 months, 22 days old.

Robert H. DAVIS died August 11, 2004, due to complications after surgery.

He was born in a rock house in Nunns Park in Provo Canyon to Stan and Goldie DAVIS on September 25, 1920. He grew up in Utah County where he learned to work hard. He worked for Geneva STEEL for 32 years. He served in World War II in the Army 8th Air Force in Europe for four years. He was known to many as the best farmer who ever lived. He loved fishing, hunting and his family. He was the greatest father and grandfather in the world. He never met a person who didn't love him. He loved making others happy, expecially his friends and family.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Maxine L. DAVIS, his brother Stanley DAVIS; his two sons, Michael (Sally) DAVIS, and Kelly DAVIS; eight grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, sisters Ellen and Rose, and brother, Ben.

Funeral services were Monday, August 16th at 11 a.m. in the Grandview Stake Center, Provo. Interment will be in the East Lawn Cemetery, Provo, with full military rites.

HOLD FUNERAL RITES FOR MRS. DIDLAKE

Funeral services for Mrs. Josephine CANFIELD DIDLAKE were held Tuesday in the Belanger Funeral Home. Burial followed in the Big Meadow Cemetery. The Rev. Francis Wieda, rector of St. Francis Episcopal Church officiated. Mrs. DIDLAKE passed away in the Pershing General Hospital on Saturday, June 12, 1965, after a few days confinement. She was 81 years old. Pall bearers were Messrs T. Q. McKINNON, Les PETERSON, Geo. MYERS, Merle FISK, Frank DUNN and Robert H. STORMS.

Mrs. DIDLAKE was born in Brigham, Utah, on October 6, 1883. She married Henry DIDLAKE who was Southern Pacific Agent in Battle Mountain for many years. Folowing his death in 1951, she moved to Lovelock. Both had been prominent in the Masonic Order. He was Master of the Lodge in Battle Mountain, and she was Matron of the Eastern Star Chapter. She sold her Battle Mountain home and lived on Amherst Avenue. Her son, Albert Johnson, of Canon City, Colorado and brothers, Orville CANFIELD, San Jose, and Henry CANFIELD, Lone Pine, CA, came to the funeral.

Graveside services for Samual (Sam) A. Dismukes, 86, who died May 23 in Hemet, CA, and will be held at 1 p.m. today at Rose Hills Mortuary in Whittier, CA. Memorial services will be held at 5 p.m. Saturday and 9:30 a.m. Sunday at Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church, 650 S. Blagg Road.

He was born June 15, 1917 in Des Moines, IA and was a 22 year resident of Pahrump. He worked as a power station operator for the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power until retiring. He was the founder and a charter member of Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church.

His wife Lorna of Hemet, CA; children Don Dismukes of Los Angeles, Linda Johnson of Texas, Betty Thomas of Oklahoma; stepchildren Wes White of Marietta, CA, Bill White of Pahrump and Lorene Anderson of Yorktown, VA; brother Ed Dismukes of Las Vegas; 13 grandchildren survive him.

Word has been received that Lawrence DOYLE, son of Mrs. Mary DOYLE,died Saturday morning, October 26, at his home in Gallup, New Mexico, of influenza pneumonia.

Mrs. DOYLE, the mother, has been in poor health and is now making her home in Los Angeles. Three of her sons, James, Joe and George are with the colors in France.
