Our home is located at 905 S. P. Rd. It was moved there after the original home was destroyed. It is a two story farmhouse w/ ornate woodwork and pocket doors. A rumor was that the house was a parsonage located east of aurora, possibly near Hampton, that was moved at the time the interstate was being constructed. Does anyone have any information regarding this home and it's history?

GOULD, JENKS posted by Sharon Stovall on Saturday, July 5, 2008

Wondering if someone can point me in the right direction. My brother would like to join the Mayflower society and in order to do so we need to prove our mother was born to her parents. Our mother, Olive Isabel Gould was the 8th child - last born to Hiram Edson Gould and Frances Ellen (Jenks) Gould Dec. 19.1903. Her mother Frances AKA Fanny, died in Jan, 1904 - obit "leaving an infant of only 1 month old" acc to the Ashland, ne news. Mom was born in Phillips,Ne and taken at 1 month of age to Ashland where she was raised by an aunt. Since there are no actual birth certificates we need a type of written document stating she was born to Ed and Fanny JENKS Gould. Understand their were doctors in Phillips at that time and also a Methodist church. Also, was there a paper (maybe in Aurora) at that time for birth announcements. Would appreciate any and all help I can get. If nothing on line, I can make a day trip to Aurora for research if anything available for that time era. Ed was a carpenter, etc. Was working on the Phillips school at one time. became depressed after wifes death - remarried (his housekeeper, I think) and moved. Don't know time sequence. any info on Ed and Fanny would be appreciated. How about school records listing other children? Thank you for any help. Sharon Stovall

My husband and are planning a trip to Giltner this fall hoping to find information on the families. Thank you so very much.
