Grand Island High School: Class of 1897

GRAND ISLAND, Neb., May 28.00(Special.)---The commencement exercises of the high school took place last evening at the opera house, every seat in the same being occuplied. It was the fifteenth annual commencement of the school. The class was comprised of the following (see list below). Chancellor MacLean of the state university addressd the graduates on the subject "The Great System of the Uncommon Common School." The class day exercises were held on the evening previous and were also largely attended. ---The Nebraska State Journal Saturday, May 28, 1897. (2:3-4)
