Grand Island High School: Class of 1894

GRAND ISLAND, Neb., June 1.---(Special.)---The twelfth annual graduation exercises of the Grand Island high school took place at the Bartenbach Opera house last evening. As usual every seat in the parqnet dress circle and balcony was taken by relatives and freinds of the grauates and others interested in the work of the school. The stage was decorated with flowers and potted plants. One desing of similar and cut dowers was especially pleasing. The figures 1894 were in flowers as well as "G. I. H. S." and "W. A. C. S.," the former standing for "Grand Island High School" and the latter for the class motto "We Are Children Still." The following are the graduates (see list below) and producing: L. Hurley, salutartory; J. Cleary, essay: "To Thine Own Self Be True;: F. Willard, class history; J. Boyd, essay: "the Pears and the Spinning Wheel;" M. Egge, motto essay; E. Doll, class prophecy; J.
