Pop 1,000. Greeley County. Settled and incorporated as a village in 1887. The county seat on the C B & Q RR 45 miles n w of Central City. Has Catholic, Swedish Lutheran and Methodist churches, 2 banks, an opera house, 3 hotels, 3 grain elevators, a flour mill, an acetylene gas plant and water works.
