C B & Q DEPOT, ELWOOD
(ca. 1900)

Contributed by:
William Mahar

This photograph was part of a large collection belonging to Gertie Mahar, grandmother of William Mahar. The photograph seems to have been taken before automobiles were the major mode of transportation--note the horse and wagon being driven toward the camera on the left. Mr. Mahar says that he believes the building in the right half of the picture can be seen in the lower right corner of one of the bird's eye views of the town.
