- Greater Omaha Genealogical Society does research at the W.
Dale Clark Library for $10/hr plus copy costs. They have all NE
censuses, City directories, marriage records through 1940s, some early birth & death
records, Omaha Bee & World Herald newspapers on microfilm.
The Society meets on the 3rd Wednesday of each month (except Dec. and July) at New Cassel
Retirement Center, 900 North 90 St., Omaha, NE, in the NCRC auditorium which is under the
chapel. Enter on the north side. Program at 7:00 pm followed by refreshments and the
business meeting. Visitors are always welcome. August meeting is a picnic. Place to be
determined each year.
You might want to consider sending copies of your surname list or queries to the
Westward Into Nebraska newsletter published by the Greater Omaha
Genealogical Society. They're printed free on a space available basis, ten issues a
year. Be sure to include both regular and email addresses. Membership is $15
