John (JC) Gastil was supposed to have had a gneral stor - that sold machinery and even tractors, in Nebraska - most likely near Cozad. The date would have been between 1893 and 1909 when he died. He may have been widowed in Nebraska and remarried.

I am looking for a headstone for Melvin Elliston and his wife Marie. I know they were buried in Gothenburg, Melvin died in 1960 but I can not find a listing for them. I do not know their date of death. Also need Lillie Marie Aden or Jurgesen. If anyone could help me I would truly appreciate it. Thanks, JoAnn Seela

I am looking for information about my great grand father Robert Mowry. We were told that he was born in Nebraska and that he grew up on or near an Indian Reservation there. We found a record of him in the 1920 Census in Kings County, New York. At that time he was married to my great grand mother Genevieve La Rue. However, we cannot find any information about him before or after the 1920 census. According to that census he was born about 1897. Also, the 1920 census mentions a 3 month old daughter Genevieve whose birth place is listed as Nebraska. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

My grandfather got off of an orphan train in Overton, NE. He was raised by the Porter famiy. Where might I find additional information about his childhood history? My grandfather came from New York City. He was 10 to 12 years of age at the time. He eventually graduated from the University of Nebraska. I am not sure of any dates. Just starting my search. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Charles Niemi had a farm (2x 160a) on the Holmes township map of 1920. He died in 1957 with no family. Neighbors on the map were Geo H. Derrickson, Esbre M. Gibson, Jos. Zook, Alvia B. Myer, GF Schmeeckle, John H. Lee and J.B. Jackson.
A Finnish immigrant in Dawson county seems to be very rare. Has anybody heard of Charles Niemi?

Paulina A. Berger 1876-1919 is buried in Greenwood Cemetery at Lexington. This may also be "Paul" A. Berger. Is there someone who might search for an obituary for this person in the Lexington newspapers of 1919? He died fairly young, leaving a wife and 3 young sons. He was a farmer, breeder of short horn cattle, hogs, and chickens and lived in Logan Precinct. Thank you.
