I need help in locating further information of a burial in the Farnam cemetery, which is located in Frontier county, Nebraska near the village of Farnam which is located in Dawson county.
Sgt. William Robert Fast born 15 Dec 1921 and died 3 Jan 1945, B29 Radar Operator is written on the headstone.
Further research finds indicate that Sgt. Fast had the nativity state of Nebraska but enlisted in the state of Michigan on 25 Nov 1942. He was listed as missing in the Pacific Theatre and was part of the 871st Bomber Squadron, 497th Bomber according to the US World War II Army Enlistment Records. He had 4 yrs of high school, was married, was 5'6" inches tall and weighed 133 pounds.
He is the only FAST memorial/burial in the cemetery and the local history association would like to find out who his parents were and the relationship to our community.
