I am looking for more information on Fletcher Anderson, who once owned land probably south of Cozad. He was related to the Anderson families that lived out in the Fairview community, south of the river, south of Cozad. I feel like he moved back out to California, and died there, and it think it was in the 1940's. I would like to know the date of death and more about him. He had a daughter Esther Anderson, who was a teacher in California, and was a single lady. If you know more about Fletcher, please contact me. I have done a lot of research on the Anderson's that lived south of Cozad. Auderiah Anderson Handley was one of the Anderson family I'm interested in. I descend from Eliza Jane or Jenny Anderson Acheson Streit, who lived south of Cozad.

I am looking for anyone with knowledge of John A. Anderson and his wife (nee: Walker), and their family. They had about 9 children and lived in Dawson County during the late 1800's. Gothenburg is the primary city in family papers/letters etc. I only know that this John A. Anderson was born in Sweden on Aug. 5, 1846 and emmigrated to the U.S. about 1861 or so. His wife "may" have been known as MALISA. One of his Son's, also John A. Anderson, married Jennie Hine on Aug. 31, 1897. They listed their places of residence at that time as "Roten, Neb." Is that in Dawson County? (Roten was a PO in Custer Co.) Jennie's parents were listed as THOMAS HINE and (?) Aker. Most of the info. I have on the Senior John A. Anderson comes from bits and pieces I have picked through in family records and pictures. Anyone have help or advice? Also, Jennie was christened "Sarah Jane Hine". Her ancestors are also a mystery. Thanks. PS; Dad has a picture with "Phillip Aker, Mother's half brother" I'm guessing he is Jennie's half brother from her Mom.

Hello. I have come across an artilcle in a book named "Garfield Stories" about my Great Grandparents, Ollie Lewis and Martha Eliza(Johnson) Johnson. It states that my Great Grandfather has the distinction of being the first Child being born in Gothenburg NE. He was born Aug 25, 1883 to Jessie Addison Johnson and Mary Frances Bever. Ollie was the first of 10 chldren to be born to this couple, many of the children being born in connecting counties. I am looking for any information on the above family, but am hoping that if this is true about Ollie Lewis Johnson's birth that it might be in an article somewhere that will talk more about Jessie Addison Johnson and his wife. I am at a brick wall with these two. Any help would be appreciated.
I do have two books that I would be willing to do lookups in and they are the above mentioned book and "The History of Logan County NE 1885-1985." Please feel free to contact me. Tracy Summerville

Interested in information about NISLEY AND MILLER from around 1880 until the present --especially interested in John F. Nisley and family and Aphaus Claudius Miller and family. The Nisleys had a farm south of Lexington about five miles as shown on the plat. Ella Hoffman Nisley married Harry Fulton Miller in 1906 at that farm. They were my grandparents and she is buried in the Greenwood cemetery.

I am looking for James Byrne/Burns and his wife Rosa who came to Cozad from Omaha in the late 1890's. Rosa died at Cozad. They had seven or eight children some who were put up for adoption shortly after her death. Some lived in Cozad for many years. Does anyone have information on this family? I am also looking for James parents John and Sarah Byrne/Burns who I believe at least one of them died there. Are the cemetary records available?

Cliff Church from Lexington, Nebraska informed me that his great grandmother, HOAGLAND was born in Lexington, NE about 100 years ago. He could not remember her birthdate. He thinks she married to Mr. Krause and died in Lexington area but he never met her before. I am anxious to know if I am related to him by finding her first name and information on her.
