I am Steve HERVERT's oldest daughter. He was Fred George Hervert's oldest son, Fred's father's name was James Hervert. I am trying to trace James to his ancestor Vencil Hervert from Ravenna in Buffalo County. Many of the family names were the same so I am not sure which of Vencil and Mary's children we descend from. I appreciate any help you can give me! Katie

Looking for missing Emma MAJER (MYER) & Frank H. PSOTA info.: Emma Majer (Myer) was born in Kansas (1892) to John MAJER (b 1856) and Barbra ERAZIM (b 1856). Both of her parents were from Austria/Bohemia/Czech., and they arrived in the USA in 1872. She was living with her parents & siblings in Garfield, Buffalo, NE @ the time of the 1910 Census (she was 18 yrs. old). Frank H. Psota was born in Lindsay, Nebraska (on 2 Sept. 1889) to Fredrick Psota (b 1858) and Maria (b 1856). Both of his parents were from Austria/Bohemia, and they arrived in the USA in 1881. He was living with his parents & siblings in Hazard, Sherman, NE @ the time of the 1910 Census (he was 20 yrs. old). Emma & Frank are the parents of my Grandmother, Elizabeth Rose Psota (who was born on 21 Aug. 1917). I have wedding pictures of Emma & Frank, although I have been unable to find any record of their marriage. Frank wrote (on his 1917-1918 WWI Draft Registration Card from Sherman County, NE) that he was living in Ravenna, NE, and that he had a wife as a dependent (and that he was married). I was told that Emma died when my Grandmother (Elizabeth R. Psota) was very young, although I have been unable to locate any record of her death. The last record that I've found for her was from the 1920 Census. She was listed as "Emma Psota", a married 27 yr. old female "Inmate" @ the TB Hospital in Kearney, Buffalo, NE. Frank Psota was also listed as "married" in the 1920 Census, but he was living alone in Hazard, Sherman, NE. At the time of the 1930 Census, Elizabeth was 12 yrs. old, and living with her Grandparents (John & Barbra Majer/Myer), and her Aunt Mildred Majer/Myer in Ravenna, NE. Then on 20 Nov 1934, Frank Psota got remarried to Mildred E. Mathers (b 1910). (Elizabeth R. Psota married George William Elftman) If anyone is able to help me with the information that I am missing, please contact me! Thanks!

TOSSER - Elmira Jane died in Kearney on 05 Sep 1905, David died 23 Oct 1899. They are both buried in the Kearney city cemetery. Is there a possibility there could be obituaries on them at the library? Would there be death certificates on file at the court house or is that too early. He was a civil war veteran, thought that might be a reason for an obit in your newspaper in 1899. Any help would be appreciated.
