Searching for other descendants or kin of James Franklin HUNTER who lived and possibly died in 1919 in Pleasanton, Buffalo County, NE. Prior to moving to Buffalo County, he and his wife, Laura RUSCO lived in Custer or Sherman Counties in the late 1880's to early 1890's near his sister, Elcy Ann HUNTER PORTLOCK (my great-grandmother). She died in April of 1890 and is buried in the Weaver Cemetery located in Custer or Sherman County. I would enjoy exchanging family info with other descendants or kin.

I'm seeking info on William TATUM b. 1849 in Bloomington Indiana and his wife Winnie L. BAKER. They moved to Buffalo County about 1899. They settled in Rusco Township, perhaps in the town of Pleasanton. The 1919 Buffalo County Atlas shows the following children and judging by the number I suspect there was more than one wife--Albert, Beulah, Charles, Earl, Edith, Everett, Fern, George, Glen, Leona, Mary, Merton (my father called him Uncle Mert), Nellie, Nola, Otis, Quentin, Rollo, Sylvia (married Alex CARSON),and Walter Melvin TATUM (my grandfather). Walter was born May 22 1905 and died Feb 29 1960 in Kearney Nebraska. Walter was married to Mabel DECK.

I have an old album with photos of many of my ancestors who lived in Kearney in the late 1800's. There is a photo in the album of a little girl identified as Bernice EBERLY. Many years ago my father told me that Bernice was not a relative, but a close friend of the family. I would like to get in touch with anyone who is related to Bernice EBERLY. I want to be sure the family has a copy of the photo of this beautiful child.
