At age 21, ventured out of Nebraska, lived in Alamosa, Colorado, worked as a car salesman, enjoyed the mountains ther; moved to Albuquerque, NM, enjoyed the New Mexican culture and cuisine, the mountains, and being close to his brother Joe and cousin Jay; returned to Nebraska in 2005
Married: Rebecca Bunger on August 1st, 2008; had a daughter together
After the marriage ended, lived in Hastings
Activities: hobbies included spending time at the lake, listening to music, snowboarding, wakeboarding, fishing, golfing, cooking, woodworking and Denver Bronco football; enjoyed cook outs with friends and family and most recently celebrated his 40th birthday surrounded by loved ones; treasured his daughter, Baylea, who was the light of his life and what he truly lived for daily

After marriage, lived on a farm near Central City; moved in 1959 to their current home near Ravenna; was a homemaker and the mother of nine children, taught them their manners, the importance of kindness and consideration for others and proper use of the English language, sewed their dresses and patched their jeans; always raised a big garden and preserved vast quantities of fruit and vegetables to feed her family as well as maintaining a steady supply of homemade bread; taught her children the importance of reading and often read to them in the evening
Activities: favorite pastime was embroidery, in her later years embroidered individual sets of tea towels for all of her children and grandchildren; greatest joy was her grandchildren and great-grandchildren
Survivors include: her nine children and their families, Linda Cone (Rick) of Hickory, N.C., Kathy Hill (Dwight) of Spivey, Kan., Susan Allemang (Doug) of Bartlett, Janet Gideon (Melvin) of Burwell, Marcia Cone of Ravenna, Bill Charron (Dawn) of Burwell, Laura Taylor (John) of Taylor, Joe Charron (Jeni) of Ravenna and Dan Charron of Scottsbluff; at last count there were 32 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren; also survived by her brother, Donald Zlomke of Baltimore, Md.

Kennedy's inauguration parade and his funeral; was later stationed in Korea, twice in Germany and Fort Riley, Kansas, and Duluth Air Base; also served a tour of duty in Vietnam; wanted to be remembered, he stated as "A Soldier," and that he was, a proud Soldier.br> Married: Peggy Weidner in 1961; recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary
Retired from the Army in 1980 and continued his education at Central Community College, earned his Associate Degree in HVAC, was employed by the University of Nebraska at Kearney, retired again in 2002
Activities: was a handyman and there wasn't anything he could not make or fix; loved to tinker in his shop and take trips to Menards

Activities: proud member of the Great Navy of Nebraska, was very active member of the Eastern Star, served as Past Grand Matron of Colorado in 1997; was also very involved in the American Businesswoman's Association

Married: Stan Grube on Jan. 27, 1968, in Republican City at the Methodist church
Ws a stay-at-home mum until all of her four children were in school; was then employed at Central Elementary as a teachers aide, DMilaco, and finally, at Snickerdoodles cookie shop at the mall; also helped Stan with statements and billing from Kearney Equipment; retired from Snickerdoodles to be able to help her daughter Rachel with her quadruplets and her daughter Richelle with her twins
Activities: favorite job title was Grandma, was actively involved in all 16 of her grandkids' and six great-grandkids' lives, including attending her children's and grandchildrens' sporting and school events; was an avid crocheter, made and gifted many blankets for new babies; she and Stan were best friends, partners and took the best care of each other; often brag about her family
Was diagnosed in April 2016 with Alzheimer's; her family continued to be precious to her

Activities: favorite hobbies were oil painting, playing bridge, creating craft items for family and friends, winter trips to Arizona and her monthly luncheons with Kearney friends; treasured her partnership with Janet Pohlmann in the craft business they started and had for eight years; at the time of her death, was an ambassador at Kinship Pointe Northridge where she lived in independent living; centered her life on her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren; faith in Christ Jesus helped her through many trials as well as the wealth of blessings she has had in her lifetime

Spent almost 40 years teaching and coaching at the high school and college levels in track, football, and basketball; started and was the first coach of the KSC wrestling program; retired in 1988 as the head men’s indoor, outdoor track and cross country coach
Was president of the NAIA (National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics) Track and Field Coaches Association; first member of the NAIA Hall of Fame to be inducted as both an athlete and a coach; was inducted in the UNK Hall of Fame in 1983, and the Nebraska Football Hall of Fame in 1995; in June 2021, will be inducted into the inaugural Plainview High School Hall of Fame, recognizing his championship seasons

Activities: was involved in Cub Scouts and 4-H with their sons; baked and decorated countless wedding and birthday cakes throughout the years; member of the Baptist Church in Arnold, and then of the Evangelical Free Church in Broken Bow, was an active Sunday School teacher at both churches; was proud of her relationship with God; enjoyed her pets, crocheting and knitting; daily devotions and Bible reading were the beginning of her day; resided at Off Broadway in Broken Bow and spent many hours in the gazebo watching and listening to birds, moved to Brookstone View after a fall, loved her time there; enjoyed the visits from her family; loved her grandchildren

First conquered cancer in 1993, and then after she had been cancer free for 10 years, cancer attacked again in 2003; cancer came back a third time in July 2020, and even though she fought it valiantly and had excellent help from her doctors, she did not survive its third attack
Activities: had many interests, hobbies and talents, enjoyed crocheting and collecting Lincoln pennies; loved to cook and garden; loved to play card games, and have a good political discussion; was a proud card-carrying member of the NRA; served as a Boy Scouts den mother and often took the kids hiking and camping

Moved into Ravenna in 1997, earned "Yard of the Month" awards at her home on Milan Avenue; provided a "home base" for her 11 grandchildren each summer; loved family gatherings with those closest to her; chronicled her days through endless journals, documenting anything from the activities of her loved ones to the weather to anyone who dropped in for a visit

Cremation was chosen and her precious ashes will be spread over the beach at Santa Barbara in the future, which is where she wanted to rest
