Activities: 71-year member of Williamsburg United Methodist Church; past member of the Island Circle Ladies Club and the NRA; was a leader of Helping Hands 4-H Club and Buffalo County 4-H Ropers Club; enjoyed gardening, canning, baking, sewing, flowers and animals

Until her struggle with cancer a few months ago, had poured her life into her family and teaching children from the Bible; was at peace, had trusted Jesus Christ as her Savior from age 9, and was ready to see Him. Survivors include: her two sons and daughters-in-law, Shiloh and Holly of Kearney and Shem and Sarah of Skiatook, Okla.; and a large host of family and friends

Activities: loved spending time with his family and friends; enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, gardening and woodworking; liked to work on computers and was a man of many talents in many areas; enjoyed socializing; was superintendent of the Poultry Barn at Seward County Fair for a number of years; active member of United Methodist Church in Utica since 1985, served in many different roles including various board; active member of the Jaycees, Lions Club, Senior Center Board and Bluebirds Across Nebraska

Lived in several places in California; the one she liked best was their ranch near Auburn, where they kept horses Their greatest joy was adopting a baby girl at Christmas in 1953, named Judith Ann after Anna Marie’s Grandmother Montgomery
Was a strong, independent woman because her husband, an over-the-road truck driver, was often gone for a week or two at a time
Activities: enjoyed cook, and crocheting; was the rock for her young brothers and many nieces and nephews; returned to Nebraska after Gene's death, lived first at Colony Acres in Gibbon and later at Homestead in Kearney until her death
Survivors include her beloved daughter and son-in-law, Judy and Richard Wright; her granddaughters, Allyson Desjarlais and Tara Wright; and great-grandchildren, Dakota and Richard Desjarlais, all of Pawtucket, R.I., as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends

Was the second youngest in a family of nine children; grew up on the family farm in Primrose, was a graduate of Primrose High; received her teachers certificate from Wayne State College
Taught in a single-room schoolhouse in Primrose; eventually moved to Omaha but kept a long-distance relationship with her soon-to-be husband. Married: Paul M. Gilroy of Spaulding on July 16, 1966
After marriage, lived in Kearney until her passing
With Paul, ran Gilroy Construction in Kearney for 30 years; raised five children; was the secretary at Glenwood School for 25 years
Activities: has always been known for her passion for children, both her own as well as others’ children and especially for her love of her grandchildren; long-standing member of St. James Catholic Church; was the foundation of the Gilroy family in Kearney

Activities: loved being outside taking care of her rabbits and ducks as a child, later was a member of Nebraska Wildlife Federation and had a NeWF windbreak planted for wildlife on her home place; enjoyed traveling, went to Spain and took several cruises; lifetime member of the Presbyterian Church, enjoyed being a choir member; greatest joy in life was having her family all together for the holidays

Worked on the farm with his dad and later erected steel buildings for Behlen Manufacturing Co.
Married: July 15, 1956, Barbara Ann Elizabeth Packer in Wood River
Lived for several years in California; returned to Nebraska; bought a farm south of Gibbon and later purchased the lumberyard in Gibbon, which they owned and operated for over 35 years
Activities: most important in Dale’s life were his family and his love of spreading the gospel; the last half of his life was focused on ministry; longtime member and officer of Full Gospel Business Men in Kearney, was instrumental in founding new chapters in the surrounding area; most recently used the God Mobile, at local fairs and events, through which thousands came to know Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior; member of Open Door Fellowship in Gibbon; cared deeply for his family

Activities: member of First United Methodist Church in Kearney; volunteered at the Museum of Nebraska Art in Kearney; was passionate about music, taught music in the different schools where she taught; served 74 years as a church choir member, accompanist and director in the Methodist churches the family attended over the years

Worked at her dad’s business, Wickard Service in Lexington, from childhood until 1952; then embraced her new life as the wife of a farmer and auctioneer; worked at Eugene’s side, managed the books and accounts for the farming and livestock business; worked as the office manager for Kearney Livestock Commission Co.; and helped create a thriving auction business serving as the bookkeeper, cashier, clerk, chief bill collector, etc.
Activities: became an active member in the Nebraska Auctioneers Auxiliary, served on the Board of Directors and numerous committees, wrote for the Power Behind the Gavel columns and attended every convention until her retirement; was inducted into the Nebraska Auctioneers Auxiliary Hall of Fame; helped clerk the Buffalo County 4-H auctions, was recognized in 1997 for her outstanding dedication; served on the National Livestock and Meat Board and the Nebraska Beef Council; was an early and committed volunteer to the Cattlemen’s Classic, was inducted into the Cattlemen’s Classic Hall of Fame in 2016; member of Williamsburg United Methodist Church for 65 years, served as treasurer for the church and was a member of almost every committee at one time or another; chaired the Lord’s Acre Celebration Auction from its beginning, wrote many book reviews for the church’s monthly newsletter, and led a nondenominational Bible study group; served on the Williamsburg Cemetery Association Board; family was the most important thing in her life; supported her children and grandchildren in their activities; was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend

Activities: spent over 20 years on the Kearney Planning Commission, serving 17 years as chairman; was president of the Kearney Chamber of Commerce; ; served on the Board of Directors of Good Samaritan Hospita, was a founding board member of the Good Samaritan Hospital Foundation; was trustee of the Ron and Carol Cope Foundation from 1992-2017; served in many other community organizations and endeavors; lifelong member of First Presbyterian Church, served as Sunday school teacher, trustee, elder, and member of numerous finance and pastor nominating committees; enjoyed fishing and hunting with friends, boating on Johnson Lake with his family, and attending sporting events with his wife

Taught at Anselmo-Merna Public Schools; moved to Lincoln in 1974, worked at the Nebraska Department of Corrections as a counselor, then head counselor and then became an administrator at Lincoln Correctional Center; helped establish the Prison Fellowship Ministry in Nebraska; in the early 1990s, was asked to assist as a track coach at Lincoln Southeast High School, which became a ministry to several student-athletes
Activities: served on the pastoral staff of Lincoln Berean Church (1980-2000); chaired the Elder Board, led various ministries, and began mentoring men through a personal approach of love and accountability grounded in the Bible; enjoyed leading a spiritual study for doctors in the Lincoln area
Moved to Kearnery, 2001; started two different churches; touched people of all ages and backgrounds with God’s truth and love through countless breakfasts, lunches, counseling sessions, marriages, funerals and other meetings; was honored as Pastor of the Year by the Nebraska Family Council in 2002; served on many boards, including the International Center for Biblical Counseling in Sioux City, Iowa; Grace University and Maranatha Bible Camp where he led junior and senior high camp for 30 years; and a couples retreat for 24 years; also served on boards of several businesses in Lincoln, helping them develop leadership strategies; was president of the Berean Fellowship of Churches, 1993-2001, gave leadership within Possibilities Africa and Love Counts Now; was a passionate communicator of biblical truth; enjoyed a round of golf, a fishing trip and hunting deer or pheasants; family was always his first concern

Activities: was active in the Democratic Party; served as vice president of the Boulder Valley Teachers Union for several years; active member and officer of the Boulder Chapter of the American Civil Liberties Union, the Kiwanis Club and the Retired Teachers Association; helped to found St. Ambrose Episcopal Church in 1967, later were communicants at St. John’s Episcopal Church; enjoyed many travels during their pleasant retirement years; celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in New Orleans in 1913 in the company of extended family
Following Carol's death in 2013, lived at Poydras Home in New Orleans, enjoyed the musical activities and performances
Was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Carol Neill Worlock, and his brother, Robert Worlock
Survivors include: his daughter, Nancy Worlock of Boulder, Colo.; daughter, Caroline Worlock Brickman, son-in-law, Robert Brickman and grandchildren, Simon, Jacob and Anna, all in New Orleans; and brother, John Worlock, residing in Salt Lake City
