Activities: loved her elkhounds and pugs; entered dog shows and received many awards and trophies; former member of the Grand Island Kennel Club; enjoyed sewing, camping and traveling with her parents in their retirement years; member of the Seventh-day Adventist Conference Church, served in many church offices through the years

Activities: was the first inductee into the York College Hall of Fame; the Campbell Activity Center there was built in honor of the work of both Colis and Dolores; was a loving and faithful husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, friend and mentor to those whom he has left behind; presided over the weddings of four of his grandchildren

Military: U.S. Navy during World War II; became a seaman first class on the USS Washington, a battleship assigned to the Pacific Theater; crew fought in 15 major battles, sank more tonnage than any other battleship and never lost a man to the enemy
After the war, farmed and worked construction; was among the first to be hired when Eaton Corp. opened in Kearney because of his welding expertise; retired from Eaton Corp. after 15 years
In December 2000, his military service was recognized by Operation Recognition. Operation Recognition made him an honorary graduate by awarding him his high school diploma from Kearney High School
Activities: after retirement, enjoyed restoring antique and classic cars full time; enjoyed traveling nationally and internationally, especially looked forward to attending his USS Washington Navy reunions biannually; was a member of a local car club, the Elks, Eagles, Legion, Moose and VFW service organizations

Worked many jobs for many farming friends; in 1943, began farm work for Wert and Emma Loschen west of Hildreth; moved with parents to a farm near Keene; Continued working for many and helping farm; built up a business dehorning, vaccinating and castrating cattle for many years; spent many hours working in his shop; remained a farmer at heart all his life
Married: Feb. 8, 1948, to Willa Jean “Jeannie” Bang at her parents’ newly built home in Minden
After marriage, farmed near Minden for about 40 years; moved to the McConnell Subdivision south of Kearney
Activities: was active at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Hildreth and First Lutheran in Kearney; enjoyed square dancing

Activities: member of the Kearney Elks Club, Eagles Club, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 759, American Legion Post 52, TPA and St. James Catholic Church; enjoyed fishing, boating, weekends at the lake and spending time with his family

Activities: was a devoted and loving mother and grandmother; enjoyed going to baseball games and watching Dell and her sons play; member of First United Methodist Church in Kearney for more than 50 years
Survivors include: three sons and their spouses, Jerry and Patty Harris of Omaha, Dr. Randall and Cilia Harris of Columbus, Ohio, and Tim and Vicky Harris of Lincoln; 10 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren

Lived north of Holdgrege, worked for 22 years for 37 Land and Cattle Co.; moved into Holdrege, 1999, then worked at Allmand Bros.; moved to Kearney in 2005, worked at various places; retired in September 2014 due to health issues; received a kidney transplant in July 2014, ultimately passed away due to complications from the transplant
Activities: family was very important; became involved with the 4-H program and enjoyed working with the livestock programs in the county; served on the 4-H Council and also helped with the fair board functions

Worked at Frank N. McNett Co. in Grand Island for four years; was awarded his certificate of architecture in 1957; moved to Kearney, 1958, worked for Helleberg and Helleberg Architects until 1984, then for Miller and Associates-Consulting Engineers; retired in 1990
Activities: member of First Lutheran Church in Kearney, the Nebraska Institute of Architecture-Western Chapter and was a past member of the Kearney Elks Lodge and the Veterans of Foreign Wars; enjoyed building and flying radio-controlled airplanes, running his railroad trains, traveling, photography, working in the yard and spending time with his family; especially enjoyed his granddaughter
