Tillery; member of First United Methodist Church and several women’s clubs, including the Business Professional Women’s Association; was the bookkeeper at Hobson Chevrolet — later sold to McClusky Chevrolet — in St. John and received recognition by the Chevrolet Motor Division numerous times for her flawless performance
Moved to Wichita in 1966, eventually joined the accounting department at Pizza Hut’s corporate offices; was eventually promoted to be Pizza Hut co-founder Dan Carney’s executive administrative assistant
Retired and moved to Kearney to be nearer to her son, Ron; attended Faith United Methodist Church
Activities: in retirement, enjoyed gardening, spending time with her close friends and also, following her adventurous spirit, skydiving in Kearney at age 85; was a devoted volunteer especially committed to Meals On Wheels, making deliveries well into her 80s; was honored to attend a White House Christmas party with her son, Richard, and met Hillary and Bill Clinton and also danced in the East Ballroom of the White House; enjoyed a trip to Ireland in the 1990s, touring the countryside, staying overnight in a castle and kissing the Blarney Stone

After marriage, lived on a farm in the Pleasant Hill Community north of Kearney; moved into Kearney, 1970, worked in the Building Inspector’s Office for the city of Kearney; retired in 1988
Activities: member of Zion Lutheran Church, Concordia Society, Zion Altar Guild, Zion Senior Citizens and for many years was a member of ThornDiv Extension Club and the Hospital Service League; enjoyed traveling, garden work and playing cards
Was preceded in death by her husband; parents; brother, Jacob Fiedler in June 2004; and sister, Virginia Merchant in 2009
