Her teaching spanned 51 years; was well known for her rigid discipline in her teachings; many students came and thanked her for the caring attitude she had in their lives; became proficient in the dialect of the Uncle Remus stories and would recite these tales to the students; took joy in helping at Pumpkin Patch Day Care Center in Kearney in later years
Was an active member of the First United Methodist Church in Kearney
Survivors include: sisters-in-law, Eryal of Hastings and Joy of Holdrege; also many nieces and nephews
