CHAMBERS Family:
I am looking for any information about the family and descendants of Burgess L. and Elizabeth E. (YOUNT) CHAMBERS who settled in, or near, Lynch about 1900. They were the parents of a large family which included: John H., Thomas S., Bilzie?, George T., Sarah, Boon, Abigail, Clementine, Samuel, and David.
Elizabeth (YOUNT) CHAMBERS died beyween 1910-1920 and Burgess was married to Emily Jane ____.
If there are any descendants I have at least a part of your ancestry back to Switzerland in the early 1600's and will be only too happy to exchange.
Many thanks, Bill Hunter.

Was there a town called 'Alfred' in Boyd County at one time? Or a town called 'Ayola' in the same county? I found information on ancestry.com about my husband's great-great-grandfather, saying he lived in Alfred, Boyd County, Nebraska. His name was George Lucius Emmons, and he died in 1899 (I assume there in Boyd County). In his daughter's (Anna Otelia Emmons) obituary it says that the family moved to Ayola, Nebraska from Iowa. Neither town is on the map now, and I can't find information on either one on the internet. If you have any information to share, I'd love to have it. Thank you!

Barney E. Smith and his wife Alma Zion Smith resided in Lynch, Boyd County, NE from about 1904 to 1910. They had a 9 year old daughter who died and was buried there sometime during those years. There might have been other children who died and were buried in Lynch. We are trying to find out information on the child or children who may have been buried in Lynch.
