I have the obituary from the paper of Roy Carmichael. The services were held January 27, 1978. His parents were George and Ella Carmichael. I also think some of his children are still living in the Butte area. If you are interested in the obit, contact me at gwoman@olynet.com and I will type it out for you. I live in WA state and not in the Butte area. Sharlene

LARSON posted by Linda Walls on Friday, July 14, 2000

Looking for any info about a Richard Larson family of the Boyd co., Neb. area and the Gregory Co. South Dakota area? Maude Wadsworth married a Richard Larson, who later moved to the Harlan, Iowa area. They had a son named Louis Larson. Noticed in a history book, of the South Dakota area a picture of a house lived in by a Louis Larson. I believe that Maude Wadsworth Larson was a school teacher in the area. (As was her younger sister Lena Wadsworth Lary.) Thanks in advance for any info you may have. Maude is my great Aunt. Linda Walls.

in response to Naper Cemetaries, posted by Erica Christensen on Tue, 15 Feb 2000
Erica, Recently went back to Naper for a visit. While doing marriage searches at the Boyd Co. courthouse I came across the marriage of Ole Blele to Carrie Hoffer on 3/11/1937. Remembering your query I wrote it down. As a child and growing up in the 60's there, my dad was good friends with Gilbert Blele. We used to visit him and hunt pheasants on his home place. It is now owned by Carl and Joy Bechtold.

The Boyd County book by Lauree Barnes is available through the County Clerk at Butte. I bought one from them last fall. I believe it was under $10. Another small history book, published by the town of Naper, and about Naper and the local area, is available from Loren Sieh, who runs the gas station and lives in Naper.

ANDERSON, BENTZ, GALL, RUNDQUIST, THURSTENSON posted by Joe E. Thurstenson on Friday, July 14, 2000

I am doing some work gathering information on the Valley Scene School also known as District #58. I have a photo of the student body in 1918-19 with eight students. Lillian Taggart of Wynot, NE was teacher. I have been able to identify only three students and would like to ID all of them if possible. The students identified are Marcelene Sanders (married to Tom Warnke), Anna Thurstenson (married to Ernest O'Donell) and John Josef Thurstenson. I have a scanned photo I would be happy to e-mail to anyone interested.

LARY posted by Linda Walls on Wednesday, July 26, 2000

Looking for any info about Henry Lary, John Lary, or Charles Lary who was suppose to have farmed in the area in the late 1800's and early 1900's. Charles Lary met and married a woman named Lena Wadsworth who was living in St. Charles place in South Dakota at the time of their marriage. They were married 1912, with their marriage license recorded in Burke. Henry is my great grandfather and Charles is my grandfather. Thanks in advance. Linda Walls

GARDNER posted by Linda Walls on Wednesday, July 26, 2000

Looking for any information about a family of Gardners who lived in Naper, Nebraska, owned land just north of Naper, Neb., but the land was actually in South Dakota. This land was owned by Joseph J. Gardner and his wife Sarah. Joseph also had a son named William F. Gardner who was in the area before he was there. We are not sure if he was farming or not. William had children who are listed as being in the area...they were listed as being married in the Butte co. court house. Andrew was one of these sons name. Joesph had a son named Judson, who has children buried in the Naper town cemetary, as does Andrew. We know that William, Josephs son moved to Burton around 1928. Looking for old pictures, and any further info about this family. Joseph is my gg grandfather. Thanks in advance, Linda Walls

Would you happen to have a Blilie/Blele lady that married into your Frederickson Family? Christian and Olena Blilie/Blele from Naper, Neb. had a daughter who married a Frederickson. I don't know if they met in Naper or somewhere else. I do know that Johanna lived in Fremont, Neb. at one point in time. 1882-1884. I believe this is the lady who married the Frederickson. Thanks for your time and any info you may have about this lady. Linda Walls
