KOCUM posted by Jane Szymanski on Thursday, March 12, 1998

I am doing research on the KOCUM family. Any information would be appreciated about this family but more specifically I would like someone to send me obits for 2 members of the family that I am aware of. A Louis KOCUM died the early part of Aug. 1940. A short obit appears in the Norfolk NE Daily News. The article is from Butte but it says he died at the Lynch hospital. The date is 10 Aug so he died sometime just prior to that. Also, a Mrs. Joe KOCUM died a short time before 3 Jan 1944 as a very short paragraph again appears in the Norfolk paper on that date. Again, the article is from Butte but she died in the Lynch hospital. I would appreciate someone finding more complete obits for me and any other information about the KOCUMS. Thank you for your time and effort!

SEELEY posted by Terry Tietjens on Sunday, March 15, 1998

This request for information is coming from the Seeley Research Center in Abilene, Kansas. We are needing information on Rev. Roswell F. SEELEY, a retired Methodist minister, that lived in Boyd Co., Nebraska. We know his wife's name was Sarah Thompson and they married on 15 October 1874 in Jasper Co., Iowa. The 1900 census of Boyd County, Nebraska indicates they had nine children, with five living. Four were listed in the census: Effie Seeley, b Nov 1881, Iowa; Cora Seeley, b Jan 1884,Iowa; Luella Seeley, b Apr 1886, Dakota; and Nellie Seeley, b Feb 1896, Nebraska. The other children's names are not know. Sarah, the wife, probably died between 1900 and 1916. We also know Rev. Seeley married a second time, 8 March 1916, to Rose Alvira (Truman) Hupp. Rev. Seeley is belived to have died 2 August 1928, but do not know where. We hope you can help with our family research. Dorothy F. Thompson of Fort Myers, Florida is very anxious to reach some of the descendants of Sarah Thompson Seeley. Thanks for your help.
