Cemeteries

This list of cemeteries was seeded from the United States Geological Survey - Geographic Names System (USGS-GNIS). Some of these cemeteries lie just outside the Cecil County lines. For example, Havre De Grace is just across the river in Harford County. There was a ferry connecting Cecil County to Havre De Grace, where there was a hospital. You may find folks buried in Havre De Grace.

Incidentally, three Catholic Churches in west Cecil County did not have cemeteries: Good Shepard (Perryville), St. Teresa's (Port Deposit), and St. Agnes (Rising Sun).

Elkton Cemetery – located on Howard St. behind the County offices, not the courthouse. Howard St. runs parallel to Main St. & overlooks the Elk River or creek. When you get into town (from I-95 South in Delaware, Rt. 286 or 296) & you have to turn off Main St. because it becomes one way, turn left & take that towards the creek/river & the cemetery is straight ahead.
