Seeking parents of Richard THOMAS "of" Frederick, Caroline Co., b. abt 1745-47, probably in MD. Enlisted June 4, 1778 in 5th Maryland Infantry in Rev. War. Was in Capt. Josiah Johnsons Company, William Richardson, Colonel. He was discharged Mar 20, 1779. Married Rhoda Jane PORTER (b. 1760-66, Queen Anne) m. Aug 9, 1775, Frederick, Caroline Co. Richard died 1839 in Fayette or Union Co., Indiana near Connersville. Rhoda died in Fayette Co., Indiana in 1840. Children: Mary, Susannah, Anna, John J., Richard, Thomas, Elizabeth and Rebecca.

Need help in confirming the family surname of Amos COHEA. Originally thought to be in Kent Co. in 1790 census, but other COHEA names surface with marriages in Dorchester and Queen Anne's counties. Need help in associating the names in the different counties. No children names are known at this time of Amos COHEA. What is relationship of William COHEA m. Sept 29, 1797 to Rebecca RICHARDSON in Kent Co. and John COHEA m. to Susanna WILSON on December 6, 1797 in Kent Co. William COHEA, #618, is in the Dorchester Co. 1800 census. Name variations are: COHEA, COHE, COHER, COHEE. Could this name be an American Indian derivative? Thanks.

Helen's mother was Anna Elizabeth OZMON, d. 1847 in Harmony, MD and is buried in Easton. She had a sister, Mary E. OZMON, who married Dr. John DuHadway and both are buried in Federalsburg Cemetery.
