vlrowe@worldnet.att.net Looking for any information on the parents of FRANCES MARION ROBERTSON, b. 1843 in Denton, MD, Caroline county. He was one of three children, sailed the Chesapeake Bay for oysters, and moved to Kansas on or about 1867. He moved to first Milford and then to Coyville, KS where he lived in Morgan Valley and taught school in Row Valley. He opened a grocery store and became president of the Coyville Bank for 10 years. He went on to become a KS state senator sometime after marrying his wife Lottie in 1873. In 1916 he was aide-de-camp to the Commander of the Grand Army of the Republic. He died in 1926. His children included WILL ROBERTSON, b. 1-29-1879 in Coyville, KS, in Wilson County. I believe that FRANCES' parents probably lived in Denton for some time, and would like to find any information which will help me find his parents and grandparents. Thanks!
