WATKINS, Lenna (from
Colville) - The community was saddened Friday morning by the
announcement of the Lenna, the 17 year old daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. J. G. Watkins. Miss Lenna was taken with typhoid fever some
six weeks ago and grew rapidly worse until her death. It seemed
impossible that one so young should die. Lenna was well liked by
all who knew her and her death cast a shadow over the entire
community. Funeral services were held at the home of Rev.
Johnson. The remains were laid to rest in the Hart Cemetery and
there she sleeps, as pure as the flowers which will bloom above
her grave.
