Know all Men by these presents
that I John RUMBOLD of Caroline
County and State of Maryland am held and firmly bound unto Phillip
DICKINSON of the same County and State in the fair
and just sum of One thousand dollars lawful money of Maryland, to be
paid to the said Phillip DICKINSON or
to his certain Attorney, heirs, Executors or Administrators; to
which payment well and truly to be made, I bind myself-, my Heirs,
Executors or Administrators, firmly by these presents: Sealed with
my Seal.Dated the ninth day of April

The Condition of the above
Obligation is such that if the above bound John
RUMBOLD, his heirs, Executors or Administrators, do and shall
well and truly pay or cause to be paid unto the above named Phillip
DICKINSON his Executors, Administrators or Assigns,
the full sum of Five hundred dollars current Money of Maryland in
the following manner viz- One hundred and twenty five dollars on the
first day of January 1803 - One hundred and twenty five dollars on
the first day of January 1804 - One hundred twenty five dollars on
the first day of January 1805 and one hundred twenty five dollars on
the first day of January 1806 free from Interest if paid by the
above specified times, and if not paid then legal Interest until
paid. Then this obligation to be void or otherwise to remain in full
force and virtue ---
