Madison County Jail Broken Into and All Prisoners Freed
Work Supposed To Have Been Done By Experts Is But Little TIme Was Taken, All Prisoners Are Still At Liberty.

Tuesday morning between the hours of one and two o'clock parties broke into the Madison county jail and liberated all prisoners confined therin. Confined in the jail were four prisoners from Taylor county and two from Madison county.
The Taylor county prisoners were J. F. Rose, held on the charge of bigamy and N. W. Padgett charged with murder with J. R. Johnson and H. P. Padgett as accessories.
J. A. Beatty for merder and E. L. Dixson for selling mortgaged property were prisoners of the county.
J. R. Johnson and H. P. Padgett believing that they would be cleared of the charge against them when they had their trial, remained in the jail.
The job was evidently done by experienced hands as but a few minutes was consumed for the entire job and without enough noise to attract any attention whatsoever.
Up to the time  of going to press, none of the prisoners have been recaptured.
