Thomas V. & Ida Lee (Dale) Parrish

Thomas V. PARRISH and Ida Lee (DALE) PARRISH

A picture of Thomas V. PARRISH and Ida Lee (DALE) PARRISH in front of their home in Hildreth, FL. It was probably taken shortly after they married in 1900. They lived in this house for the remainer of their lives. They added on to the house and subsequent owners have changed it even more. I don't remember the wash basin on the front porch, but there was one on the back porch in the 1930's. There was a windmill and the house was powered with batteries before electricity was brought to Hildreth. There was a "Delco house" for the batteries and a "Smoke house" to cure the pork that was butchered in the winter.
