Born March 17, 1934.
The daughter of Jesse James and Mildred Ford
Green.
One of nine children born in Fish Branch Community in Desoto
County..
She lived most of her life in Hardee County.
Here she
attended school and church.
She married Wilbur Fox. Moved to
Jacksonville, and there they had two children.

Son James Earl Fox Sr.
They moved back to Hardee in the
early 70's
and adopted two children.
She also had three step
children.
They also opened there hearts and home to about 192 Hardee
County foster Children.
Laura was a juvenile officer in Hardee County
for 20 years.
They built the Calvery Church Of God in Ona.
Laura
was the church secretery.
She loved to sing and often was found
singing.
Some of her favorite songs were,
"God Walks The Dark
Hills" and
"Serenaded By Angels".
Her Favorite Bible Verse was
Psalms 103.
They closed the church in or around 1988 when wilbur was
fighting his illness.
They moved to Enterprise Ala. to be closer to
there children.
Wilbur passed away November 13, 1988.
Laura
remained in Enterprise with her children.
She was a member of
Faithview Holiness Church.
She fought a good fight against canser but
it took her life on July 7, 2000.
With her children by her side she
took her final breaths on this earth and opened her eyes in Heaven.
We layed her to rest beside her husband of 35 years at New Zion Cemetery
in Ona.
FYI: There is a Family Reunion held every year on May 14, in
Laura and Wilbur Fox's Honor.
