Pioneer settlers

Hello, I am a descendant of Florida Pioneer Jesse Wilson. I am currently working on the Wilson Florida heritage for submission to the Florida Genealogical Society, for the FLORIDA PIONEER Certificate Program. I already have everything I need for my certificate, but would like to have as complete a collection of descendants as possible when I send in the paper work. In this manner, others wishing to apply for their certificate will have less information to collect themselves.

Joseph WILSON and his wife Lutisha were living in the Duval Co. area by 1823. Joseph was from SC.

By 1826 his brother, Jesse WILSON, is also living in Duval County. He married a Mary (Snowden ?), and was from SC. To date we have not been able to find Joseph and Jesse's parents for certain....

Both brothers settled in what is now Clay County. Joseph settling near present day Penney Farms and Jesse settling in Waller, which is now inside present day Camp Blanding. We loose track of Joseph and Lutisha after about 1865. Early Clay County Records (1858-1872) were stolen in 1872 and there is a gapping hole in genealogy here.
