Nancy Angelone, 93 Crystal River

Nancy Angelone, 93, Crystal River, died Monday, Jan. 5, 2004, at Seven Rivers Regional Medical Center in Crystal River.

Born June 6, 1910, in New York City, N.Y., she moved here 10 years ago from Brooklyn, N.Y.

She was a homemaker and a member of St. Finbars Catholic Church of Brooklyn, N.Y.

Survivors include three sons, Anthony Leone of Manhattan, N.Y., John Leone of Mays Landing, N.J., and Edward Leone of Jackson, N.J.; daughter, Connie Ingemi of Crystal River; brother, Edward Bloise of Brooklyn, N.Y.; sister, Mary Misiti of Brooklyn, N.Y.; 12 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.

Golda Black, 77 Dunnellon

Golda E. Black, 77, Dunnellon and Milford, Ohio, died Sunday, Jan. 4, 2004, at her daughter's home in Milford after a two-year battle with cancer. She was the widow of Robert Anderson Black.

Born Jan. 24, 1926, in Oxford, W.Va., Mrs. Black was a retired postmaster of the Norwich (Ohio) United States Post Office. She served 28 years in that capacity before retiring in 1986.

She was an active member of the Norwich United Presbyterian Church and a former 4-H leader. She served as the village's clerk and participated in Eastern Stars while living in Norwich.

Following her husband's death in 1993, she moved to Dunnellon.

Survivors include two daughters, Roberta Reaves of Pataskala, Ohio, and Vicki Black Redlin of Milford, Ohio; and three grandsons, Erik Reaves of San Diego, Calif., Bob Reaves of Athens, Ohio, and Baron Redlin of Milford, Ohio.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Cincinnati or the Norwich United Presbyterian Church.

Howard 'Buck' Buck, 44 Floral City

Howard "Buck" Severne Buck, 44, Floral City, died Friday, Jan. 2, 2004, in Floral City from a boating accident.

Mr. Buck was born May 16, 1959, and came here more than 25 years ago from his native Tampa.

He was a welder for Cato Classics in Hernando, a member of the Withlapopka Civic Association, an avid fisherman and enjoyed boating.

He was Baptist.

Survivors include father, Richard "Dick" Buck of Lutz; mother, Myra Buck of Clermont; two brothers, Richard Buck of Bushnell and Harold Buck of Floral City; one nephew; three nieces; and his companion of 14 years, Carolyn Bogert of Floral City.

Anita Gobbi Hernando

Anita D. Gobbi, Hernando, formerly of Kings Park, N.Y., died Thursday, Jan. 1, 2004.

Survivors include husband, Allan; daughter, Susan (Raymond) Holzwarth; son, Paul (Tamara) Gobbi; father, Robert Palermo; and sister, Delphine Reynolds; and four grandchildren.

A memorial service will be in Florida at a later date.

Earle Kracht, 78 Homosassa

Earle R. Kracht, 78, Homosassa, died Sunday, Jan. 4, 2004, in Crystal River.

Born Sept. 29, 1925, in Oak Park, Ill., to Herman Albert Kracht and Elsie Moeller, he moved here in 1995 from Elk Grove, Ill.

Mr. Kracht was an engineer and worked as a training manager for M&M Candy Company in Illinois.

He was a member of the Kiwanis, was involved with Cursillo Teams both Ecumenical and Catholic, participated in more than 400 clown services and volunteered with the RSVP Program. He read to the kindergarten classes in Crystal River and was a mentor to the students. He also volunteered with Hospice for nine years in Illinois.

He was a member of First United Methodist Church.

Mr. Kracht was preceded in death by his wife, Lois Kracht, and daughter, Claudia Patrick.

Survivors include his daughter, Nancy Schumacher of Homosassa; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Frederick Kracker, 84 Beverly Hills

Frederick P. Kracker, 84, Beverly Hills, died Thursday, Dec. 25, 2003, at his home.

Born Dec. 1, 1919, in Detroit, Mich., to Fred and Abbie (Havlatka) Kracker, he moved here 22 years ago from Royal Oak, Mich.

He was a retired electrician. Mr. Kracker served in the U.S. Army Air Force during World War II Army.

He was a member of the Beverly Hills Community Church and served on the Beverly Hills Community Church Boy Scouts of America Committee. He was a member of the Royal Oak Masonic Lodge of Michigan.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth M. Kracker, and daughter, Sharon Clark.

Survivors include son, Alan P. (Deitz) Kracker of West Olive, Mich.; son-in-law, William Clark of Troy, Mich.; four grandsons, Scott, Jeff and Ryan Clark and Chris Kracker; two granddaughters, Stephanie Gardiner and Trama Clark-Moore; and two great-grandchildren.

Cyril 'Jerry' Nalepa, 72 Beverly Hills

Cyril John "Jerry" Nalepa, 72, Beverly Hills, died Sunday, Jan. 4, 2004, in Crystal River.

Born Nov. 7, 1931, in Mala Vrhka, Czechoslovakia, to Cyrial Jerry and Katarina Marie Nalepa, he moved here in 1996 from St. Petersburg.

Mr. Nalepa received his bachelor of science degree from St. Johns University, New York; and graduated from Withlacoochee Technical Institute Police Academy in 2003.

He was a retired pharmacist and a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War.

He was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Beverly Hills; American Legion Post No. 77, Inverness; and the Beverly Hills Surveillance Unit-Thursday Duty.

Survivors include his wife of nearly 50 years, Zoe Ann Napela of Beverly Hills; three sons, Christopher John Nalepa of Zachary, La., Robert Paul Nalepa of Hernando and Kenneth Brian Nalepa of Missouri City, Texas; daughter, Katherine Ann Nalepa of Martinez, Ga.; and four grandchildren.

Frances Paumi, 85 Homosassa

Frances M. Paumi, 85, Homosassa, died Saturday, Jan. 3, 2004, at Cypress Cove Care Center in Crystal River.

She was born in Westfield, N.J., and moved here one year ago from New Port Richey, where she resided for 16 years.

She was a retired inspector for Boyle-Midway Products, South Plainfield, N.J.

She was a member of Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church, New Port Richey.

Survivors include her sister, Margaret Cornelius of Holiday; and many nieces and nephews.

Robert 'Bob' Siegel, 85 Beverly Hills

Robert Brooks "Bob" Siegel, 85, Beverly Hills, died Tuesday, Jan. 6, 2004, at the Brentwood Health Care Center in Lecanto.

Born March 13, 1918, in New York City, N.Y., to Joseph and Josephine (Auerbach) Siegel, he moved here in 1997 from Daytona Beach.

Mr. Siegel was a retired stockbroker and served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II.

He was Jewish.

Survivors include son, Brooks Siegel of Beverly Hills; two daughters, Cathie Bustichi of Danville, Calif., and Robin Tyde of Ormond Beach; and four grandchildren.

Benjamin Thacker Jr., 88 Dunnellon

Benjamin Wilson Thacker Jr., 88, Dunnellon, died Thursday, Jan. 1, 2004, in Crystal River.

Born in Wilmington, N.C., he moved here in 1979 from Miami.

Mr. Thacker was the retired owner-manager of an office machine company.

He was a member of the Miami Rotary Club. He was an Eagle Scout and a Boy Scout leader for 46 years. He was a member of the Rainbow Springs Golf and Country Club in Dunnellon.

He was a member of the Shanadore Presbyterian Church.

He is survived by brother, John M. Thacker of McLean, Va.; and niece, C. Jean Thacker of Denton, Texas.

Art Wedeman, 71 Chassahowitzka

Arthur (Art) W. Wedeman, 71, Chassahowitzka died Saturday, Jan. 3, 2004, at Tampa General Hospital.

He was born Dec. 31, 1932, in Forest Park, Ill. The family moved to a farm in Janesville, Wis., where he lived until 1948 when he joined the Navy and served during the Korean war. He was honorably discharged in 1954. He was a life-member of the VFW.

Mr. Wedeman retired in 1986 from his own roofing business in Elmhurst, Ill., and moved to Chassahowitzka. He then pursued a hobby making jewelry for several years at Howard's Flea Market. He loved people, making wine, fishing, hunting and flying.

He was Lutheran.

He was preceded in death by his father, Frederick Wedeman and mother, Johanna (Braun) Wedeman and sister Evelyn Wedeman.

Surviving include wife of 32 years, Ruth A. Wedeman of Chassahowitzka; three brothers, Edwin Wedeman and Herbert (Evelyn) Wedeman, all of Downers Grove, Ill., and John (Carolyn) Wedeman of Quail Valley, Calif.; two sisters, Elsie (Leonard) Reinhold of Newburgh, Ind., and Ruth Weber of Janesville, Wis.; four stepchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Burial will be at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell.
