I am looking for information on Pasco Philmore JOHNSON who, according to my father's birth certificate, was born in Bradford County, and was living in or near Tarpon Springs (Pinellas County), FL when my father, WillieLee Johnson, was born August 21, 1921. Pasco's wife was Ellen Priscilla DICKS, born in Columbia County, FL. My father was a twin (had a sister named Ellen Lee Johnson). Pasco and Ellen were 28 years old when my father was born. I know that the Dicks' were a well-known Columbia County family(they are almost all buried at Hopeful Baptist Church, including my father who died this year in May). I discovered their burial whereabouts throughthe Internet a year or so ago. My grandmother Ellen Dicks lived near Ichatucknee(sp?) Springs for years and then moved to Lake City for the rest of her life. She died in 1970. Any information would be welcomed.


RIVENBURGH; WARREN posted byRussell Rivenburg on Saturday, October 4, 1997, In his veteran's pension (Union Army) application, filed in Starke, FL, my great great grandfather, David RIVENBURGH, claimed to have lived in Starke for 10 or 15 years under the name of John WARREN, his grandfather.He had fled Hamden, NY, allegedly after having robbed a factory. He left a wife and two sons in Hamden. Did he have a second family while here inthe south? Does anyone know what he did here?

Alvarez who was b 9/19/1876 in Starke, Bradford County, FL and died sometime after 11/26/1942. She married Edward Emanuel Canova 2/20/1895 in Starke and I'm somewhat positive she and her husband spent their entire life in the area. I would really appreciate hearing any information on Edward or Eunice.

MATHIS died in the state prison abt 1892-95 and was possiably buried in a mass grave there. He was a Confederate Civil War Prisoner and I would like to find him in order to have a veteran memorial stone placed at his grave. Any and all suggestions would be very appreciated!

She was a member of the Missionary Baptist Church at Kingsley Lake for 50 years before her death. She had a brother named Lewis. Other daughters were Rachel Gilliard MATHEWS, Mrs. W.H. He served in the Civil War (I have a copy of his Pension Records), but nowhere can I find out who his parents were! He was married to Elizabeth SURRENCY. I think they both are buried in Bradford County. She came from Ware Co. Georgia, and we don't know where he came from. When he returned from the Civil War, they seemed to have settled down in Bradford County. His birthday is Dec. 1, 1824 (N.C.???), and he died Nov. 11, 1883 in Alachua Co. They were married Jan. 9, 1860 in Columbia Co. FL. Thanks for any help you can give.

She was born 28 Dec 1910, I believe in Bradford Co. and married Alvin PARKER, Born 9 Jul 1903. She later married John ROSS and lived in Orlando. The only other info I have is that she had at least 2 brothers, Charlie HILLIARD and Eli (Henry) GRIFFIS. Her mother's first name was Easter. Not too sure on that one though. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

They lived in the Lake Butler area.

FOWLER Robin Mayes on Friday, May 1, 1998 I am researching FOWLERs in Bradford, Alachua, and Gilchrist counties. I recently found out my gggrandfather, William N. FOWLER is buried in Dedan Cemetery in Brooker. He was born 12-27-1845 is South Carolina and died 8-15 of either 1917 or 1923. Please contact me for further information or with a connection. He does not appear on the 1900 Census. He had sisters named Babe, Lank, Liz and possibly Elsie. Brothers may have been Steve and Hiram, supposedly half brother. His death certificate said father was Steve PADGETT. Any information out there??

Lottie's father was Clarence HILLARD or HILLIARD? Richard and Lottie had four kids. Three boys and one girl. Lottie died in 1924 I think.

Kersey and Iris - parents. General Lee Kersey owned property on Morgan Road in Bradford County. Believe General Lee or General M. owned property on Bayless Highway. General M. Kersey was a general in WWI. General Lee was just name. Lena was a WOODS before marriage. Darkis may have been a COCKREN. Mother's maiden name was Iris Irene SMITH. There was a George Kersey listed on the 1860 census, Don't know if he was any kin. Thanks in advance for any help.

I am looking for Jannie YOUNG, married to Sam HARRIS, before 1900, she was born in the islands, so family members say, she was brought to Fernandino Beach, Fla. as a baby, she was 35 years of age in 1900 and at that time married to Sam Harris; she was never a slave; she died about 1939 in Dade City, Pasco County. I would like to get the marriage license of Sam and Jannie and I'd appreciate any help you can give me on the family members I have been unable to locate during these dates.
