Hines Family

I've been doing genealogical research on the Hines branch of my family and found that many of them were early Alachua County pioneers. I maintain a web page that has some old photographs. This is a link to the Hines family (John Henry Hines) in 1907:

John Henry's father, Isaac, served in the Confederate Florida 2nd Infantry Company C. My family web page contains links to Isaac's Civil War pension application file and marriage license. I believe, but have not proved, that Isaac's father is Henry Hines. There's a link under Related Files on my web page titled Henry Hines Genealogical Report. John Henry and his family are buried in Alachua County. The information related to Isaac and John Henry Hines is as follows:

2. ISAAC2 HINES (HENRY1) was born Abt. 1842 in Charlton County, Georgia, and died April 28, 1919 in High Springs, Alachua County, Florida. He married MARY DOUGLAS February 20, 1881 in Alachua County, Florida.

Military Service: Private, Company C, 2nd Regent Infantry Florida Confederate Army

Enlisted: July 13, 1861

On the company roll for January and February 1865, the last company roll on file, he is reported "Absent

wounded since October 7, 1864.
